Well pretty sure they got their degrees so good for them. Good blockers and team players. Time for other guys to get their chances. They would have played a Devon Ford role next year so hope they get some real touches next year. Never liked running Thomas who isn’t fast or quick on the jet sweep. Get ready as more are coming and I’m holding my breath on some names. Don’t want to see Price on this list.

I don't see any chance that the RB and OL room aren't losing a few guys even with Pendleton already in the portal

It hasn’t worked out all that well for the desperate spenders so far.

Yes Ohio State paid up to hire Judkins and Downs but they won the title because of guys they recruited and developed and then paid to retain, much as we did with Mills/Cross/Watts.

Texas, Penn State, Georgia and most other CFP teams (with possible exceptions of Oregon and Tennessee) follow more the model that we do than the Miami/A&M/Ole Miss/FSU strategy.

Maybe it’ll change but culture matters so much in college football that I don’t think you’ll see a lot of teams built from mercenaries going all the way.
The issue ND is going to need reconcile is that if they refuse to take undergraduate transfers for academic reasons then they need to commit to spending more money on high school recruits. You have to do one or the other, and right now we are not competitive with Oregon/Ohio State/Michigan or even second tier SEC schools with what we're willing to do for HS players.

Examples from this year include Ivan Taylor and Deuce... we land both if we spend the money. Also, every single WR we missed on was a $$ problem.

They were great team players. Unfortunately, great team guys are going to get passed up if the program is contending. Kudos to them for sticking out their degrees, hopefully they can stay healthy and get a chance to show out their final years.

Even if they landed Deuce in this class, Deuce would be the first person to enter the 2026 Transfer Portal.

Agree I think you need to set aside a budget for HS kids

Problem with Thomas and Colzie both leaving that's 5 WR's gone from our roster with 5 coming in, if another 1-2 leave from current roster we are thin again.

The board will implode if Ty Chan goes..apparently he can slide into any position on the team...lol

I thought Chan was gonna be something when he signed. Dude was huge. Didn't know he had all the agility of a cinder block.
