Kris Mitchell came to Notre Dame because they convinced him they could prepare him for the NFL. Instead, his stats and targets plummeted. He might not even get invited to any mini-camps.

I’m just not sure he would be too keen on helping recruit.

Please refer to my previous post.

Thank you,

Unless he has issues with Diaz, this is really dumb. Yeah... money, blah blah blah.

Murphy had a phenomenal year as a first-time starter. Nearly 3000 yards, 26-12 TD/INT. And Duke won 9 games and could beat Ole Miss in the bowl game.
Yep. This is what I don't really get. It feels like some people are transferring just to transfer at this point. Where's he going to land that's better than where he's at? And I'm sure Duke has *someone* who'd write him a check.

(And before you come back with "But Riley Leonard," Leonard would probably still be at Duke if Elko hadn't left. He only became an option for us after that went down).

It has to be about the money. Had a good season so his stock is probably as high as it's going to be. He likely thinks he can get a better offer from someone else or at least wants to see what he can get compared to what Duke is offering.

Smart move. After Daniel Jones no one should ever draft a Duke QB again.

The FIU WR mentioned about 30 teams who have reached out ND not being one of them so not sure what their game plan is, all I know is they better bring in some studs.

Going into next year our DT/NT position is looking quite awful and our depth as a whole is horrible. You'll have
Dononvan Hinish who shouldn't be starting on a championship level team. He is great against lower level teams but he isn't gonna cut it against the Bama's and Georgia of the world.
Gabriel Rubio once again I think he is a good player but he hasn't proven to have a complete year to stay healthy.
Jason Onye who knows if he will be back next year
ARMEL MUKAM, SEAN SEVILLANO, DEVAN HOUSTON, BRENAN VERNON, DAVION DIXON- I think Mukam, Sevillano and Dixon will all be good depth guys and provide quality snaps, we need Houston and Vernon to get into gear. I think regardless you gotta bring in 1 legit starting DT, and 2 depth guys. That will give you a solid 6-7 guys to rotate. You can't go into next season with bringing in 1 guy then 2 guys go down with injuries and now you got 3 guys with experience.

The II guys think we'll need 3 DT's if Rubio and/or Onye isn't back next year. Prister has been sounding the alarms about Al Washington's bad recruiting at DT for the last few weeks. He said none of the guys coming in are going to be ready to play soon and that they haven't heard a lot of good things about Houston.

Which I don't understand didn't Houston win scout team guy last year? Hinish actually is productive which is a plus but we aren't trying to win the Mac we need to compete with the big boys.

We aren't. Your knowledge of it and the reality are not the same
Like I said I will believe it when I see it I don't see any ounce of information on any of the good WR's or DE/DL guys visiting us. I'm sorry but the starting DT from Rice isn't gonna be good enough. We heard all year on this board how we were leading for 3 of our top WR's and we struck out on all 3.

I feel like every time we've been told that we're in on someone or leading for someone I'm and aspect recruiting wise this year, we've turned out to be heavily trolled. I actually would feel more comfortable hearing absolutely nothing like we did with Madden

Do you think it’s possible that’s by design and the coaches know more than you do? Maybe they don’t want it leaked

Going to be singing the same song until we start landing (and keeping) elite DL. Alot of these teams have plentiful talent and depth. They recruit great then lose some to the portal in the the offseason, but guess what they bring in another elite guy and then recruit more 5* guys and the saga continues.

Touché, especially at any skilled position. If it's an OL then yep, 90% of the time we're good.

Really no rush right now. Id guess about 1/4 of the guys that are transferring are in the portal at his point and very few that are in as of today move the needle. I like Singleton a lot but their will be 7-8 guys if his caliber by the end of it.

I'd rather bank on someone who may be bad or may be good than someone I've watched play bad and give up 8 touchdowns in a game.
