There is no consensus yet it seems. I listened to this today and thought it was funny. The Irish Illustrated guys say it’s all even and hard to tell with not playing the starting line (all on equal playing field, but Angeli less mobile). The Irish Insider guys say it’s pretty obvious Carr, Minchey and then Angeli.

Torn labrum in shoulder...some folks stated 3-6 months, but asked my brother who is in sports med..he thinks 6-8 months

I have a partial tear in my labrum. I am pretty fit/active, skate and lift 4/7 days of the week. Dr. told me because of my physical conditioning I could start PT sooner then most and from surgery to being back playing.... 6 months. Said the average for recovery is usually closer to 7 or 8. That is with a partial tear. I don't know what Lambert's looks like.

That's crazy for a partial tear. Hopefully a combination of him being young and a team of expert medical professionals at his disposal gets him back. But it sure seems like a "fall" return, as Dale pointed out, is awfully ambiguous and late fall seems more realistic.

Lambert -

I was told 6-8 weeks for recovery. Which, I later followed up with to seek clarity, and was told:

“Correct. 6-8 weeks recovery. Then, at weeks 8-10, therapy/stepped participation timeline. Finally, at weeks 10-12, ramped participation into live activity. That is the current expected timeline based upon what we’re aware of now.”

So, I assume the 6-8 weeks is for initial recovery, and then the above timeline for the rest, based on what they expect as of now.

I would caution the above by stating recoveries for injuries like this can be fairly fluid, and obviously can change.
seems like a small partial tear then if that. Not a doctor or anything but it seems like they have jumped on this early which is good.

Same timeline my son got to be back on the mat wrestling after tearing his labrum.

Since there are 13 weeks in three months, that's sounds like a good bit (or even all) of August camp will be good-to-go.

Hearing positive things from WIlliams, Saldate, KK and Burres would be nice to have 2 of these 4 break out this year.

Angeli could be a Rees kind of guy. Like a trusty guy that can move the ball a bit. You can trust him as a backup. He does appear to have talent, but also looks like a statue in the pocket without any overwhelming traits to supersede that. If what is being said is really true, then we should expect some rotation. I’m not sure the starter for Miami will be the starter vs ATM.
Rees knew how to throw the ball away and didn’t take too many sacks. Would have been nice if he pulled down the ball more often and get a first down occasionally. Angeli has shown he can do that but waits too long or doesn’t throw the ball away. It drives me crazy with Coan back there like a statue and he had some good numbers. Don’t want Angeli killing drives getting us behind the sticks.

Merck: Any idea if we are looking at and spring transfers to fill out roster spots? I know you mentioned earlier maybe another TE, anywhere else?

Can’t believe 2 years ago our major players at WR were 2 true freshman and a true sophomore. 2 of which haven’t seen the field much at their transferring institutions. That room was so bad.

Williams - He'll likely see the field this year, but he's unlikely to challenge for rotational time. Next year, he should finally hit.

Saldate - He's surgical in his route running. He works very hard on his technique, and already understands the majority of the offense.

Smith - The talent is there, but he's had injury setbacks, and he lacks consistency.

Burress - Physical, mean, good speed, excellent hands. He's going to get on the field sooner rather than later, but don't expect him to be immediately rotational.
Seems like a lot of drops are being reported. Is this a concentration thing you think?

He’s had a handful of drops compared to the catches he’s made. He’s doing very well from a percentage standpoint.
What are KK's percentage on catch vs drop. He looked to have the best hands of the group from what I saw Saturday

Agree. I would prefer a guy that can push us to the next level. Is Angeli that guy? I think people need to really ask themselves if we have the offensive weapons for Angeli to improve upon last seasons success. If not, maybe Angeli isn’t the guy. Whether that QB exists on the roster at all, I’m not certain. But I do think we have the rest of the weapons if we have another Leonard.

I think we have equal or better players at the skill positions this year. If you count experience from returners as a positive in that number then absolutely yes. Will out Oline gel quickly and be better than last year? Angelo is a statue but keeps his eyes downfield and Carr is between Angelo and Minchey in mobility. I don’t see anyone avoiding sacks and making yards with his legs like Riley Leonard. Protecting our QB is crucial to getting our new QB off to a great start.
