You guys are the QB experts so I won't chime in on the "story of the day." The vibes that I got throughout the first round were that the whole league has awakened to the absolute necessity of having the better BIGS (I attribute some of the final awareness of this to the Detroit coaching staff.) Monster-after-monster were coming off the board high. D-Line especially, but O-Line too.

I have one hope due to these intuitions: Lots of teams want not only first team D-Linemen, but second team D-Linemen also. MAYBE that will play well for our guys in the draft in these coming rounds.

Articles like this and this talk about hit rates by position. Basically, you need to get OL in r1, if you can.

And the real truth is you need to have as many picks and as many high picks as you can, because most don't work out (not that that isn't self-evident).

Having grown up in a Bears/Steelers house, I liked Clark as a player during the early Tomlin/LeBeau years. I really like The Pivot Podcast, probably more than a 47 year old white suburban girl dad should (LOL), but it's great. RC's perspective on all things ball and life hits hard for me.

Couldn't agree more, I was always a fan of hard hitting safeties and loved me some Ryan Clark. Getting to him talk about ball and life on both ESPN and his podcast has been a real treat

Don’t think Golden is gonna let BenMo or X get past the Bengals if either is there when Cincy is on the clock.

I was looking through the "best available" list yesterday and BenMo was like 63ish overall and Watts a few spots behind him with Evans in the 90's overall. It's crazy that we just played for a national championship and weren't that far away when our most talented players were essentially 3rd round picks. Just shows how good of a job MFMF and Co. did last season.

Idk why anyone would be embarrassed, fella. We just played for a natty. If anything it’s a testament to our team that we played at the level we did.

I feel like we all knew the team was void of a lot of “freaks” but filled with a bunch of ballers. X, Kiser, Mills, etc. BenMo maybe the only high profile guy, and his injury derailed that.
