I don’t think Minchey is the smart choice he didn’t look good in the spring game I get it was 4 months ago but he didn’t look like a QB that can lead us to the playoffs
The spring game has almost zero bearing at this point.
Regardless, there is almost no chance they will decide before their final scrimmage of camp this weekend. There is no benefit to making the decision beforehand

I’d give each QB 4 series with the 1’s against the number 1 defense whoever scores more points wins the job

I wish I didn't look, i think I got contact dumb. Kenny may very well win the job but most of those dudes are just message board merchants. Grubl was in there talking about spring game stats. Waitttttt

Serious question, who are these two jabronis and why should anyone pay attention to them?

Idk who Bruce is. He very well may be getting his info from VIP boards. But, in his defense, he’s right a majority of the time.

It's not just that it was 4 months ago, but you had basically a scrimmage where you had multiple starters/key contributors out and the units were jumbled around. Not to mention, you had essentially 3 QBs splitting reps in that game.

Since then, the coaches have been able to evaluate these two and how they play alongside the guys who are expected to start and contribute consistently. There isn't a drive with some of the 1s and other 2s and then the next drive you're with the 3s.

I’m so confused by this, unless they know something, it seems like there is much more of a pro Minchey campaign. Did Carr do something to these people?
Because Carr is the odds on favorite and they want to be contrarian. And if Carr starts and does poorly they can pretend like they have superior knowledge, if he does well they will pretend they were for him all along

Yeah these guys pretty much just post hints at premium info. So assumption is some board is saying Kenny may have a better shot than we thought, at minimum.

1) We're not going 0-2
2) This board will start screaming for a change the second the starting QB throws a bad pass against Miami.
Completely agree about the board, however whomever the stater is, if they Completely shit the bed, how short of a leash does the staff give them? I totally understand trying to install confidence in your starting QB, but how long before the coaching staff pulls the plug? Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are.

Yeah, that would be a tough one. Can't have your QB looking over his shoulder.

It’s a tough deal. You don’t want Carr or Minchey going in with notion that they’re a mistake away from getting yanked.

My eyes will be glued on the QBs at practice tomorrow. I would be shocked if reps are still split 50/50. They have to be leaning one way or the other by now.
We're over here analyzing every frame of drill snippets and you're watching a whole ass practice. Not fair :ROFLMAO:

I agree with this All we really needed to solidify is our ability to become explosive in the air. We were extremely explosive on the ground last year but could never rip the top off the defens in the air last year. Its ultimately what OSU was able to do do to us on a few plays and that was the decider in the title game.
Riley showed he could light it up downfield when he was backed against the wall when OSU knew he had to pass. We held him back but we really only needed it against OSU.
