If these old men are going to sit around decide our teams’ fates, at least make an honest effort in some transparency.

I should add that, right before the rankings reveal, she kind of jumped on her colleagues for focusing on the ND-Miami comparison. She said something like, "I keep hearing people continuing to talk about the ND-Miami comparison, but on Tuesday, the committee emphasized the real comparison that was very close was between ND and Alabama, which is why I think they'll revisit that comparison after this weekend's results, and ND will be 9 and Alabama will be 10." (my paraphrase)

So she was operating under the assumption that the committee was going to stick by their words. She, like the rest of us outside of Miami and the SEC, found out soon after that they were full of shit the whole time.

The committee had it set up perfectly and 75% went their way...Duke beating UVA screwed ND...they had to include an ACC team and that made it impossible to do without them. UVA wins and then thry could say look ACC in and Miami you would have been if your conference didnt fuck up tiebreakers.

The most damning part about this in my opinion is if you go to Parker Fleming's website and put Notre Dame vs the CFP field on a neutral site, ND would be favored to beat all but two teams (Ohio State and Indiana), with Texas Tech being a pick em game.

This is why I don’t really take issue with the auto bids. It’s really the only limit on the espn/sec/other big conferences power to rig the thing. The issue is that there are 7 at large bids, and they left out the 2nd best non conference champion. I’ll happily give A&M and Miami their spots over ND. Oregon and Oklahoma are justifiable based on results on the field. Alabama ain’t even close if you actually want to find the best team in the country.

86/88 losers in CCG dropped in the rankings following their loss. The two exceptions were TCU in 2022 when they lost by a FG in OT to KSU & this past Saturday when Bama got boat-raced by UGA.
