Hannah second team all American =travesty. No way there are five players better than her
I keep watching these tourney games, and somehow ESPN continues to fail to mention how historic of a season she had. I really don't understand it. But we will need a heroic effort from all 7 players to have a shot. We know we will get it from Hannah; we will see how the rest of the team does.

I just now went to the ESPN NCAAW front page
they had an article about Hidalgo leading the Irish to the win. Article was pretty good with a whole paragraph of Hidalgo talking about working harder to be closer to her team mates; knowing them better.
BUT in the video just above that article they showed no Hidalgo highlights; only two Vanderbilt highlights.

That's all well and good, but did they mention that she's only the second player in ncaa history both men's and women's to have a stat line of 25 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals? I'm guessing not.

Opened as a 29.5 underdog against uconn. Pretty crazy.
Inject the disrespect into Hannah's veins. Put that on the white board in the locker room. It's a daunting task, but the run this team is on is special.

I believe we'd need something very odd, like early and continuing Sarah Strong foul trouble. Hannah/Cass probably can probably deal with Fudd if she's without Strong, but .........

like I said the article was not bad; not the greatest but pretty good and they did mention her records just not that one

In theory a Junior could be draft eligible if they have enough credits to graduate. Since Early Enrollee isn't really a thing in Women's Basketball, They would have to come in with a ton of AP credits and maybe do some summer classes. At ND it's even less likely than at a public institution.

So the WNBA does not allow underclasswomen to be drafted? Did not know that. Surprised no one has challenged this in court
For the WNBA draft, players must be at least 22 years old during the calendar year of the draft, or have completed a four-year degree, or have their original college class graduate within three months of the draft.

huge spread vs UConn and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Huskies covered but threw a few bucks on the Irish to pull off the huge upset. Hidalgo alone is worth watching.

Talent wise Hidalgo is the only one of our starters that would start for them
so yeah even if we play well the logical outcome is about a 20 point loss

That's how I feel....It would be nice if they could keep it under a 20 point loss. They just don't match up with them at all..no one really does. Either way, the fact that this team made the elite 8 is a huge win!

That's probably true. But my coach's eye says that if Cass could have gotten on Auriemma's team to begin with, he'd have seen what her motor and athleticism could do, coached her offense up, and she'd have been an all-conference player. ... and probably a WNBAer. There is an outside chance that some WNBA team might take a chance on her and find that they've drafted one of those hustle-scrambler-make-you-miserable players like those two blondes who are on Clark's team. Getting possession of the ball is becoming a greater and greater stat-percentage thing now that the shooting is getting so good. When you DO make them miss, YOU have to get the ball more than they get it from you. Cass does that.

Uconn beat us by 30+ in the season. I think their average margin of victory was by 28 points or more.

This probably won't end well but ya never know I guess. David beat Goliath

I don’t know if this was a shot or not, but Miles comment certainly infers there were issues last season.

I feel the people around me have helped me to love basketball again and compete at a high level and hold people accountable and challenge people and be vulnerable with people that I know love me, support me and care for me."

Not to make it political, but it's entirely political, so it's unavoidable in this case. The rumored issue was that Miles is super woke and drove a divide in the team because Hidalgo is not and wouldn't apologize for some stuff. Alleged mean girl / bully behavior and then Miles effectively quit on the team when she didn't get her way.

I also put it on Ivey as a coach because locker room culture is 100% on you and what you tolerate. But also even with perfect hindsight I don't know what you do in a Shaq + Kobe situation.

This was a case with Ivey failed. she needed to have a sit down with Miles and lay it on the line; shut up and do your job or you are benched. she did not
