Sucks. No doubt Virginia is a better team. ND still deserved to win this game. They played a hell of a game, but made too many bad mistakes down the stretch. That, combined with some luck by Virginia, just means another close loss by the Irish in a game they could (and should) have won.

Haralson made important free throws. His form looked really good to me. Having your main ball handler at 60% on the year is problematic. Hopefully he can continue to improve.

I thought Haralson pounded the rock too much. Seemed to do it less as the game progressed.

I did not get to watch the game. However, from what I’ve heard and read, he and his team just don’t know how to pull it out. I know in basketball it’s easy to have a signifiant lead and to blow it but what’s this the third game this year They’ve led by 15+ and lost?

They were up 6 with less than a minute to play and literally fumbled it away.

Lots to unpack from this one. Unfortunately this team is a bunch of losers. They don’t know how to win. Coaching is inconsistent and it shows on the court. They try to foul up 3 vs Cal and it goes bad so they scratch it against Virginia and the same result happens. Stick to your philosophy and coach it up. And not having a PG makes it so frustrating to watch. Seeing Shrewsberry literally pass the ball to the other team and have them come down to hit a 3 was maddening.

For a team that likely had no one picking them to win, they showed fight vs Virgina.

They've had many bad losses this year, but this isn't a bad loss in my opinion.

Hopefully they can build momentum off this game.

Agreed, losing Burton hurt this team. Certa's played well the past couple of games, hopefully he can keep it up.

Irish honestly aren’t playing that bad. They are just out matched by their bigger guys.

ND won’t be anything without a legit big man. It’s how they’ve had their best years in basketball.
