I wish we had just a smidge of the LSU football stadium atmosphere. Watching the 4th quarter and OT of tonight's game makes last year's ND-Ohio State game look like a fucking library.

So Ole Miss is obviously eliminated from CFB Playoff discussion right?
If they go 10-2 and beat UGA, they could get in, but won’t be a sure thing. Certainly would think they’d be ahead of us if we drop another one.

Is booze the difference?

The antics Texas pulled after the game was disrespectful and setting a bad example for the younger generation watching the game.

These conference games are starting to look pretty exciting. So many good matchups and we're only getting started. True hatred between teams.

It's interesting how conference expansion and NIL/transfers - two things that are so "bad for college football" - are leading to a lot more fun regular season games than the not-so-long-ago era when Clemson, Oklahoma and Ohio State just dominated their conferences for years on end (and the Pac-12 was nearly as irrelevant as it is now.)

My main takeaway from this week and the past few weeks in general is that:
1. There is a clear top 3.
2. Neither Bama nor Georgia are in that top 3. Both have elite players but are more inconsistent than ever on defense.
3. Teams 4 through 14ish can all beat each other.

Given all of that, pretty reasonable shot for ND to make the top 8 or top 4 in the playoffs. Probably the most wide open year of CFB that we've had in awhile, although last year was pretty wide open too if you exclude cheating Michigan.

No bigger fraud.
I'd say the dude at USC is right there with them. Never understand why fans get enamored with the Kiffin and Lincoln Riley type coaches. They never win big because they produce soft teams. Fun when they're beating some scrub by 50 but frustrating when they lose the dog fights.

Damn NIL! Damn transfers! Ruining the game!

Army ranked 23 meaning when we play them they could be top 15
I can’t see any way a Notre Dame team with depleted offensive and defensive lines playing undefeated Navy *and* Army could possibly go sideways.

Army and Navy both going to be ranked when we play them, only to drop out after we win, killing all credit for beating a “tough” opponent.

No it's the fanbase. ND fans are old and/or well to do types.

No longer the blue collar Catholic dream school.
This. I was just at the Louisville game. Cards fan brought just as much noise.

This type of response below just doesn’t happen at ND…the place has devolved and turned into a morgue…everyone just sits, is subjected to horrendous DJ music…just God awful, and just claps in unison when the victory march is played.

Did you forget about the game against Clemson or USC I don’t remember which now but they had to let the crowd calm down during the press conference here.
