Darn, I was hoping to get matched up with an overrated Penn St. in the playoffs, but realistically they would get exposed before that would happen.

I usually watch college football with the game that's fun and I care about on TV and what I bet on on my laptop, and the Big 10 has totally killed their conference. Teams are 1-9 overall, 3-7 against the spread traveling 2 or more timezones. Penn State is losing to USC, and they are going to cap their playoff spots if teams don't figure this out. Penn State could get knocked out because these teams can't handle travel.

This also makes me more impressed with overall how well we travel. Dublin, California, Texas, wherever. This team has blown games but I feel like they can handle the travel.

Football teams only have to do it ≈ 6 times a year on weekends. Impossible to overstate how much they fucked minor sport athletes with the change.

Not really, the big teams rarely play away non conference games. Longest road trip in conference before this year was Rutgers to Iowa

In the portal/NIL era, I think BYU should be pretty legit most of the time.

1) their team should have an easier time retaining kids since the whole Mormon thing is kinda unique. The less negative roster turnover the better.

2) they have a very healthy fanbase. Should have no problem paying kids enough to keep them in Provo.

I doubt they are gonna be a powerhouse winning natties but it seems very plausible that they can put a pretty good team together with elite retention and plenty of NIL opportunities.
