Larsen ahead of Sherwood not surprising if they are working heavily on passing game. flanigan's another story tho.
And Stanley Clark before thatJohn Adams South Bend legend
AgreeIf Jack Larsen is performing well too it wouldn’t be the first time a freshman TE has looked good for us…
He was with the 2s because raridon may not have been out thereAgree
Maybe Larsen is just good?
All the recruitniks wanted to throw themselves a whiney pouty party about him because he didn't grow 3 inches his senior and snap up the rankings
If Cane Berrong never existed they wouldn't have gotten into such a little tizzy about it
I personally see him running with the 2's as a positive development if its actually the situation
That's kinda beside the pointHe was with the 2s because raridon may not have been out there
I know what you’re trying to say but it doesn’t work when there was really only 2 scholly tes practicingThat's kinda beside the point
Okay, lets try this one last time--shall we?I know what you’re trying to say but it doesn’t work when there was really only 2 scholly tes practicing

Your bait to have me NOT respond will NOT work.Okay, lets try this one last time--shall we?
Me, myself, try thinky goodfully with my tiny little dumby brain that its a good sign that a much maligned incoming early enrollee prospect may perhaps possibly be better than either a former top250 prospect whom is now in his second year in the program and played a decent amount as a true freshman....or yes....albeit a proverbial walkon senior player who--although only a pathetic walkon--has also played some significant minutes for the team
I fully and willingly confess that the above is merely only soley based on conjecture and circumstantial evidence and I certainly in no way shape or form can conclusively know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Larsen will totally go down as the greatest tight end in the history of intercollegiate athletes nor can I even know for certain that he's better than Sherwood who perhaps maybe might have had a tummy ache or maybe a blister on his heel--but it at a minimum gives me a sliver of hope that perhaps maybe Larsen shows the potential promise to maybe possibly have a better career than Cane Berrong
And also--certainly--you and I are definitely in lockstep agreement that were Evans and Rairdon and Baumen and Staes active participants on the practice field today, neither of us would harbor any illusions that Larsen would be running with the 2s
Please I hope that you will consider my own personal thoughts and opinions that I am thinking in my own head to be okay for me to think
Below is some food for thought
I will now disengage and allow you the opportunity to get your much desired last word in on this topic

We need to but him on a word count limit. Teach him about brevityMike is a new member who plays angry couch psychologist every day with people he's never met or spoken to. We can all only aspire to live such a life.
Tbf you also align perfectly with everything in the excerpt he posted, so theres that…Your bait to have me NOT respond will NOT work.
I’d just prefer we see video of him at minimum do something really good before we claim he’s “good despite not growing”
I don’t know why raridon wasn’t listed as participating in the live activities because he was in some warm up videos with helmet on doing them.
Gilbert did more in his first practice than some of Notre Dame’s other young receivers from recent teams did in their practice careers, at least in practices open to media.

Athletic wise yes. Greathouse and Rico just came in ready to compete and could handle it mentally. TBD on the 3 you mention. And I thought the 2023 receivers were going to be special. Gilbert, Cam Williams and Saldatte are on a completely different level.
I think Cam and Gilbert will both be better than Greathouse and Rico (especially Rico) in the end. But I do NOT think they will have more yards as true frosh due to not playing over.Greathouse and Rico combined for 657 yards last year which is awesome for two true freshman but we did have major issues with depth and injuries with WRs last year. Im going to go out on a limb and say that Cam and Gilbert will have more receiving yards this year with a much more talented and deeper receiving group then we had in 2023. (Unless either one is redshirted)
Curious why you think he needs to bulk up? I actually hope he doesn't to make sure he keeps his quicks. Of course get stronger, maybe add a few pounds. But he's our version of tyler lockett. Lockett and faison are similar size now.Faison has a NFL future as a Slot WR. Wonder if he gives up Lax after this year? Kid needs to bulk up.
Which is scary. What’s refreshing with Freeman is he isn’t scared to play Freshman over Seniors unlike our previous coach. I think Denbrock is gonna mix and match 8-9 different receivers in and out to keep guys fresh but if the games close the starts will be in.And Jordan Faison aint even out there yet...

let me try to summarize a mike with one

"Doubt is long winded, certainty is brief"
I would be shocked if they had a combined 25% of the WR yards let alone total receiving yds when you include TEs and RBs that will get a descent amount.Yes they won't be relied on as much as the freshman last year but we should also see a much improved pass game with Leonard and Denbrock. Conservatively speaking we should have over 2600 pass yards. I don't think it should sound crazy that Cam and Gilbert have a combined 25% of those yards with how talented the two are.
❤️🔥
The two players in question would only have to combine for less than 50 yards per game to eclipse 25% of 2600 yards over 14 games. I’m with NDependent on this. One long pass to either of them in a game puts them ahead of schedule. If they play regularly it will be surprising if they don’t accumulate 650 yards on the season.I would be shocked if they had a combined 25% of the WR yards let alone total receiving yds when you include TEs and RBs that will get a descent amount.
