This isn’t as bad if they SEC didn’t make such a stink about the playoff selection process.
The selection process does need some tweaking to it. I'm not suggesting that Alabama, Ole Miss, or South Carolina should have gotten in, but it hasn't been perfect yet.

For example, I'd argue that 2023 Georgia was the best team in college football; however, they didn't get a bid. In terms of this season, I'm okay with Indiana and maybe SMU (I struggle with that one) getting in over the aforementioned three SEC schools. Ultimately, I don't think a 3 loss team deserves a bid, but the seeding this year was jacked up. For example, I think Notre Dame is a much better team than Penn State. Yet, Penn State gets to play SMU and Boise State, while Notre Dame was rewarded with Indiana and Georgia. The selection process, as it currently stands, is flawed and needs to be adjusted.

Glad to see Tennessee (most happy about this one), Alabama, and Oklahoma lose. But some of you, yikes … show me on the doll where the SEC touched you.
That would be July 1863 in Corydon and been pretty much an across the board eat shit and die ever since

I think nil and the transfer portal have obviously changed cfb but I think play styles are changing and that's evening out the playing field. You are seeing it in college and the pros that running the ball is back. Teams like Notre Dame and Michigan are going to, be the beneficiaries of this with the style they play and the defense's they have. Even in this cheezeit bowl this drive Illinois is just leaning on sc
