I'm going with ND 34 (4 TDs and 2 FGs) and Navy 17. Just can't imagine Navy scoring much while maybe being on their 3rd string QB, nor do I anticipate them stopping Estime and Diggs repeatedly. I love watching defenders get moved all over the place against Navy. Hoping for a big game from Kiser and Watts on defense!

Our defense hasn't been getting off the field quite as well as previous years (to my eye.)
Interesting point.

The problem with ND’s third down defense from what I have seen is giving up long third downs.

If Navy is in a position of trying to convert multiple long third downs that should translate to ND stomping them.

I think Chris Smith is going to have a big game. He’s the ideal player to occupy and shut down the middle of the field against a Navy type team.

Notre Dame held Navy to 6 points and 184 yards last year. I think Freeman has a pretty good handle on defending the triple option. Maybe ND won't do quite as well this year but I am not concerned with Navy's offense grinding out a bunch of yards and clock. Meanwhile I think ND has more motivation than usual to draw up and hit some big plays offensively.

I think there will be a little bit of a hangover but nothing serious. Irish win comfortably but not in a blowout.

As long as there are more than 40 points scored between both teams and Notre Dame wins, I hope all participants involved have a good and fun time

The spread is only 15 so if it plays to chalk it probably won’t be as comfortable as we’d like but a win is a win.

This is not the game to get Pyne’s passing game. Save that for BC. Any game this season where fans start asking about how many snaps Angeli gets, gives me the shits. Would love an early blowout that’s over by halftime but after Marshall, Cal, BYU & Stanford; that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Just win.

This could be a game where Pyne could sharpen up his skills. The Navy secondary is not good at all. The Navy run defense is pretty good but the Irish seem to play better defensive fronts better than some of the lesser. This game may be low scoring in the fact there will be a lot of ground action from both teams (of course Navy) and the clock just keeps running. IF Rees does incorporate a lot of passing plays, Styles/Mayer should have a good day. I'm hoping to see Estime with 100+.

This will follow the usual recipe we expect with a Navy game:

Crappy first two quarters, halftime score is close or even tied. Message board warriors meltdown and demand everyone be fired.

Second half team pulls away, wins by double digits, but doesn’t cover the 16.5 point spread

ND 27 Navy 17

OL dominates Navy’s front. We run all over Navy while Pyne is incredibly efficient. ND rolls 38-14
