With absolutely zero fanfare, and a lack of introduction/thesis for the week because of how woefully unprepared I am, I present to you:

WEEK FOUR.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 22

TimeMatchupCoverage
7:30PMWest Virginia (-2.5) @ Virginia TechESPN
7:30PMCoastal Carolina (-2.5) @ Georgia StateESPN2
8:30PMIllinois (-20) vs ChattanoogaBTN

- Enter Sandman on a Thursday night? Of course we will be watching.
- Coastal Carolina went 11-2 last year, and lost their two games by 5 points total. They should be headlining as a potential Group of 5 darling... but they barely register on the national beat right now. They won't play a P5 team (Virginia) until Nov. 19. Let's see if they get to that matchup undefeated, and see how the narrative ramps up.
- Illinois might be good, but this isn't the game to help determine that. It's just here because it's on TV on a Thursday night if you're bored during commercials.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 23

TimeMatchupCoverage
7:00PMSyracuse (-10) vs Virginia ESPN
8:00PMAir Force (-24) vs NevadaFS1
9:00PMBoise State (-15.5) @ UTEPCBSSN

- Syracuse might be good. Virginia might be awful. It sure would be something to see Syracuse blow out another P5 team.
- The same week I hyped them up (along with @notredomer23), Air Force shit the bed against Wyoming. Tune in and see how many yards they run for on an erratic Nevada team as they take out their frustrations.
- GIVE ME A BOISE STATE NIGHT CAP ON SMURF TURF, JUST ONE TIME. Instead, we watch them on the road again. Look for @ACamp1900 in the crowd.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 24 - EARLY

TimeMatchupCoverage
12:00PMKansas (-7) vs DukeFS1
12:00PM#5 Clemson (-7) @ #21 Wake ForestABC
12:00PMIowa State (-2.5) vs #17 BaylorESPN2
12:00PMAuburn (-7) vs Missouri ESPN
12:00PM#4 Michigan (-17) vs MarylandFOX

- UNDEFEATED DUKE. UNDEFEATED KANSAS. WINNER GETS A CLEAN 4-0 RECORD AND A SPOT IN THE TOP-25. Leipold has Kansas on track, ditto Mike Elko with Duke. This is a noon headliner and the type of deep-cut matchup that makes college football great.
- Dabo and the boys visit Wake Forest. Wake has Sam Hartman back. Clemson might not survive a slow start on offense.
- Baylor visits our old friend Matt Campbell and his Iowa State squad. Could be a good defensive game for those into that sort of thing @Some Irish Bloke. Iowa State gets favorite status playing at home.
- Tuning in to see if the wheels just fall completely off for Auburn. A loss to Missouri would be DEFCON 1.
- scUM finally plays a team with a pulse, but they get Taulia Tagavaoiloa and the Terrapins at home. They could not have asked for an easier runway into the season.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 24 - AFTERNOON

TimeMatchupCoverage
3:30PMNOTRE DAME (+1.5) @ North CarolinaABC
3:30PMCincinnati (-16.5) vs IndianaESPN2
3:30PM#11 Tennessee (-10.5) vs #20 FloridaCBS
3:30PM#22 Texas (-7) @ Texas TechESPN
3:30PMJames Madison (+7) @ Appalachian StateESPN+
4:00PM#15 Oregon (-6.5) @ Washington StateFOX

- Go Irish. Beat Tarheels. Contain Drake Maye. Force him to stay in the pocket, but also don't let Josh Downs get going. Drew Pyne: Do your f☘️cking job.
- Go Bearcats. Seriously though, Indiana is 3-0 by the skin of their teeth. Cincinnati could use a P5 victory to build some confidence heading into AAC play. That line seems... like a lot of points to give Indiana.
- The SEC on CBS finally has a good headliner for the 3:30 spot. Tennessee begins a stretch that goes Florida/LSU/Bama. Good luck Vols!
- Texas had a Bama hangoover, resulting in a brief scare against UTSA last week. Texas Tech didn't have the firepower to hang with NC State. The Longhorns might build some momentum in this one.
- James Madison throttled CUSA's Middle Tennessee in their first game as a member of the FBS, and are now 2-0 after an early bye week. Lets see just how for real the Dukes might be, as they take on the surging App State Mountaineers.
- Oregon dominated a good BYU squad last week. Washington State is 3-0. We're going to find out if the Cougars are legit or not.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 24 - LATE

TimeMatchupCoverage
7:00PM#10 Arkansas (+2.5) @ #23 Texas A&MESPN
7:00PMRutgers (+7.5) vs IowaFS1
7:30PM#2 Alabama (-40.5) vs VanderbiltSECN
7:30PM#3 Ohio State (-19) vs WisconsinABC
8:00PMFlorida State (-17.5) vs Boston CollegeACCN
9:30PM#7 USC (-6) @ Oregon StatePAC12

- Top-10 Razorbacks??? Aggies looked underwhelming alongside Miami (FL) last week. Woo Pig Sooie. Take the Razorbacks and the points.
- Rutgers is 3-0. Iowa's offense might be historically bad. Scarlet Knights roll? Take Rutgers and the points.
- Pray 4 Clark Lea's boys. Vandy is *kind of* pointed in the right direction, with a dynamic QB already getting them OVER on their season win total... but Bama is Bama.
- The Buckeyes get their first real test since ND in week one, but Wiscy is actually kind of meh. Buckeyes, big.
- Pray 4 Philly J. His OL is going to get him killed once again, this time at the hands of an aggressive FSU pass rush.
- I wish I knew wtf the Pac12 network was or how to get it, because this game should (hopefully) be awesome.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 24 - NIGHT CAP

TimeMatchupCoverage
10:15PM#19 BYU (-21.5) vs WyomingESPN2
10:30PM#13 Utah (-15.5) @ Arizona StateESPN
10:30PM#18 Washington (-13.5) vs StanfordFS1

- Scout the Cougars, as they try to get back on track against a team they *should* be capable of handling with ease.
- Utah is good-but-not-great. ASU just fired Herm. Prime #Pac12AfterDark potential here. Let's get weird during the Night Cap time slot.
- This is a "Is Washington hungover?" vs "Is Stanford really that bad?" matchup.

Excellent work as always. At least one intruiging matchup in each time slot, that's what you love to see. I want to put Clemson on upset alert, but these are the types of games Wake never wins, Hartman or not.

Unfortunate time to be in the Eastern Time Zone. Best games, at least as far as ND opponents go, are late. Maybe I'll slip into an alcohol induced coma in the afternoon and then rally.

Still love Coastal Carolina and Air Force. Still hate Michigan.

Unbeaten KU and Duke in football is so peak post Covid.

When is the rest of the college football world going to acknowledge that Lane Stadium is not as hostile of an environment as the media wants to portray it as? That was a butt whoopin' a mediocre WVU team put on the Hokies in their own back yard last night.

Well, we took Sandman home with us in 2018. Dex to the house!!!!
That's what I mean, leading up to that week and even last year, all you kept hearing is how tough it was to play there. Fans were talking mad shit. Both were prime time games as well. It's a spoiled narrative

Like most home crowds, they peter out when their team gets punched in the mouth a few times.
Since Bud Foster left, it happens with regularity.

The fact that USC vs Oregon State is on the friggin Pac-12 Network is a disgrace.

I'm following LSU now that Kelly is their coach.
their star WR ain't playing cos his baby mama is due to give birth lol. BK never had to worry about that with John Goodman and Roby Toma in the lineups at ND

Ugly turnover fest. The opening script by Cuse was about the last of the good offense on either side

Never in my life have I seen more crucial penalties by teams in critical moments. UVA gets the sack and gets a face mask call. Syracuse then heads right down to kick the winning field goal. This stuff is rampant in college football including on our team. I pray we are disciplined today and don’t give UNC freebies.

Is Unc who we lose to today?? I was hoping it was the bye week but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost that one somehow too. 🤣

This has been one of the wildest 3 week stretches in CFB that I can remember. All things considered it’s been pretty entertaining.
