According to one of the pods, only reason ND got Coan last season was b/c Buchner’s health was questionable or they would’ve rolled with him last season like they did this season. You’re right, ND should’ve went to the portal…and I think they’ve admitted as much…but they didn’t. To say BK would’ve is no guarantee.

I don't see how that's even remotely possible.

They were going to roll with a true freshmen who didn't go through spring and hadn't played legitimate football in 2 years?

Health is one thing, but Buchner needed time to develop and learn the system when he hadn't been on campus for more than a few months.

I have watched WF a few times the last couple of seasons. We will have to just go our separate ways on this subject. I don't like that offense. Sure these highlights look great, but they don't show the true aspects of the slow mesh offense. I am jus not a fan and I don't want to watch that offense every week.

Only 8 teams in America have scored more offensive touchdowns than they have. That gets you past Marshall and Stanford at home is my guess.

Sam Hartman is 36 years old I think, to be fair. One thing about them that I noticed is they have the big physical WR you can chuck it to downfield. That aspect isn't unfamiliar to what we've seen under ND with BK.

I think Wake's offense is more plausible to be run a a blue blood program than Coastal Carolina's. I enjoy watching both.

I get it. Wake Forest scores a lot of points (albeit against a really bad ACC). There are a lot of reasons someone should want Ruggiero to be the OC of their team. If ND were to hire him (I doubt it) then I would cheer for him and Old Notre Dame. I also know that I would be frustrated watching that offensive system.

It is pretty simple. I have an understanding of why you and others may want him and his system. I hate the system and am not entertained when watching it and that is ultimately why I watch sports - to be entertained.

Last time I saw the program this message board is dedicated to win a National Championship, I was the same age that my oldest child is now.
