This is a kid ND has been casually involved with for a while. I think a lot of big, regional heavy's have been. Tommy followed him on Wednesday and now everyone is reporting on him.

UK and PSU took notice, both offered... PSU an hour ago.
For early non-elite prospects that were coming thru South Bend, I thought he looked like a stud. He has one of those flawless deliveries that looks like a he's a great baseball pitcher. Big kid too.

One other '22 kid to remember in the "Plan B" QB prospects is Mirer's kid. Baseball prospect too. I can see them taking two QB's again especially when two are Powlus & Mirer.

I havent seen Simpson's film yet but I would take him over Angeli & Wimsatt. He is throwing darts all over the field, from different arm angles, hits his recievers in stride on deep balls. He has a quick release and is tough in the pocket. Would be a great take after Buchner.

Simpson just posted he's announcing his commitment on February 19..... Gotta think that favors Clemson and possibly why we're showing interest in the kid from n Ohio

Can someone explain the difference in recruiting philosophies between Lea and Freeman. I really liked Lea as a recruiter, but Freeman seems to be much more aggressive. Is Freeman taking advantage of the "shiny new toy syndrome" that these kids might have? Either way, its nice to see.

He’s essentially not committed at this point from what I read. Talks about talking to a laundry list of schools. So I’d combine wavering to the point of talking to many schools + was recruited by Freeman at Cinci

Some additional digging, Rogers while a MS kid and Brown while currently residing in Ohio, both play for the Louisiana Bootleggers 7-7 Team. Brown’s family only recently moved to Ohio. This explains both offered, they were in a Miami 7-7 Tourney. It also means Brown is not bleeding Buckeye blood necessarily

I am also very interested to see what numbers and profiles they recruit to. They brought in 3 DE’s last cycle. 4 makes it 7 over 2 cycles. That seems very excessive. But, how do you say no to any of those guys? Could Gobaira and Wesolak be the same scholarship and same goes for Tafiti/Moss?

And, are we going to start recruiting to a 1 DT system? In that event, 3 DT’s also seems excessive.

My ideal class looks like Ford, Gobaira/Wesolak, Tafiti/Moss. Artis and Lucas. That’s 5 DE’s and 3 DT’s over 2 cycles. It gives us a 2 deep +1 under that previous scenario.

But, my realistic class is Ford, Gobaira, Tafiti. Artis, +1.
