Week three! We've got a decent slate of games. Not many huge ranked matchups, but there are some games with some intrigue out there. The day starts good, gets kind of stale, then picks up again at night with some entertainment factor in store.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 16
.
.
- Football is on
.
.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 17
.
.
- UCF and Louisville should be entertaining... UCF could win in a blowout, but I could also see Satterfield getting his guys to rally and start to step up.
- Night cap. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy Bert and Co. trying to keep the ball out of Taulia Tagovailoa's hands.
.
.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - EARLY
.
.
- RIP Cornhuskers
- GO BEARCATS. I just wish Indiana hadn't totally shit the bed against Iowa in week 1. Ridder is probably gonna have 2 TD's of 50+ yards, and Jerome Ford is gonna do some things.
- VT is rocketing up the top-25, and suddenly looking like one of the tougher games on the schedule. They have a dangerous DL. Scout the future opponent.
- Miami REALLY didn't want to give themselves a break with the non-conference schedule. Props to them for a solid slate to open the season.
.
.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - AFTERNOON
.
.
- GO IRISH. Everyone prepare for maximum stress accordingly. Unless Freeman gets things to click for his guys this week, this is probably a shootout.
- Alabama goes into the Swamp... does Dan Mullen have some giant-killing magic in store?
- Clemson rebounded last week... against South Carolina State. Let's see how DJ U looks against a defensive-minded P5 team.
- I'll be paying attention to the train wreck that is FSU. Alternative programming: USC @ WSU on Fox.
- Leach's air raid on the road against Memphis should produce an entertaining game. Alternative programming: Northwestern @ Duke in a battle of the nerds on ACCN.
.
.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - LATE
.
.
- RIP South Carolina. Georgia's defense could pitch a shutout.
- Auburn and Bo Nicks haven't been tested yet (wins against Akron and Alabama State). Penn State needs to jump on them right away.
- Scout two future opponents in what should be a good game between UVA and UNC.
- Tulane gets another shot at a big upset, but Ole Miss looks like a well-oiled machine already this year.
- Stanford and Vandy both got on track last weekend... does Clark Lea's familiarity with Stanford help, or is Vandy too undermanned to spring an upset?
- ASU/BYU should provide an entertaining night cap to a long day of football.
- BONUS NIGHT CAP: If you have the Pac12 Network (does anyone, really?), tune in and see if the UCLA hype is justified.
