Week three! We've got a decent slate of games. Not many huge ranked matchups, but there are some games with some intrigue out there. The day starts good, gets kind of stale, then picks up again at night with some entertainment factor in store.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 16
.
8:00PMOhio @ LouisianaESPN
.
- Football is on
.
.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 17
.
7:30PMUCF @ LouisvilleESPN
9:00PMMaryland @ IllinoisFS1
.
- UCF and Louisville should be entertaining... UCF could win in a blowout, but I could also see Satterfield getting his guys to rally and start to step up.
- Night cap. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy Bert and Co. trying to keep the ball out of Taulia Tagovailoa's hands.
.
.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - EARLY
.
12:00PMNebraska @ #3 OklahomaFOX
12:00PM#8 Cincinnati @ IndianaESPN
12:00PM#15 Virginia Tech @ West VirginiaFS1
12:00PMMichigan State @ #24 MiamiABC
.
- RIP Cornhuskers
- GO BEARCATS. I just wish Indiana hadn't totally shit the bed against Iowa in week 1. Ridder is probably gonna have 2 TD's of 50+ yards, and Jerome Ford is gonna do some things.
- VT is rocketing up the top-25, and suddenly looking like one of the tougher games on the schedule. They have a dangerous DL. Scout the future opponent.
- Miami REALLY didn't want to give themselves a break with the non-conference schedule. Props to them for a solid slate to open the season.
.
.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - AFTERNOON
.
2:30PM#12 NOTRE DAME vs PurdueNBC
3:30PM#1 Alabama @ #11 FloridaCBS
3:30PMGT @ #6 ClemsonABC
3:30PMFlorida State @ Wake ForestESPN
4:00PMMississippi State @ MemphisESPN2
.
- GO IRISH. Everyone prepare for maximum stress accordingly. Unless Freeman gets things to click for his guys this week, this is probably a shootout.
- Alabama goes into the Swamp... does Dan Mullen have some giant-killing magic in store?
- Clemson rebounded last week... against South Carolina State. Let's see how DJ U looks against a defensive-minded P5 team.
- I'll be paying attention to the train wreck that is FSU. Alternative programming: USC @ WSU on Fox.
- Leach's air raid on the road against Memphis should produce an entertaining game. Alternative programming: Northwestern @ Duke in a battle of the nerds on ACCN.
.
.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 18 - LATE
.
7:00PMSouth Carolina @ #2 GeorgiaESPN
7:00PM#22 Auburn @ #10 Penn StateABC
7:30PMVirginia @ #21 UNCACCN
8:00PMTulane @ #17 Ole MissESPN2
8:00PMStanford @ VanderbiltESPNU
10:15PM#19 Arizona State @ #23 BYUESPN
10:45PMFresno State @ #13 UCLAPAC12
.
- RIP South Carolina. Georgia's defense could pitch a shutout.
- Auburn and Bo Nicks haven't been tested yet (wins against Akron and Alabama State). Penn State needs to jump on them right away.
- Scout two future opponents in what should be a good game between UVA and UNC.
- Tulane gets another shot at a big upset, but Ole Miss looks like a well-oiled machine already this year.
- Stanford and Vandy both got on track last weekend... does Clark Lea's familiarity with Stanford help, or is Vandy too undermanned to spring an upset?
- ASU/BYU should provide an entertaining night cap to a long day of football.
- BONUS NIGHT CAP: If you have the Pac12 Network (does anyone, really?), tune in and see if the UCLA hype is justified.

This is a really intriguing slate. Solid football on at all hours of the day.

I'm really curious to see how Sparty does down in South Beach as they continue the Tucker rebuild. They've looked solid so far this year. I think WVU wins against the Hokies...I think UNC is very overrated after all of the fire power they lost last year outside of Howell, and a cocky VT team heading into Morgantown is a tough match up (see the "50 yard line seats for sale thread." Those Turkey heads have swelled).

Bama is gonna roll the Gators in the Swamp. I hate to say it, but it's going to get ugly, IMO. The Saban freight-Train keeps on rolling.

Plenty of good match ups on the late slate, including the late west-coast kicks. Perfect Saturday for some good food, plenty of beverage, from noon until my head hits the pillow. Cannot wait.

Was it UCF that Jordan Johnson transferred to? If so he isn’t even in the 2 deep of receivers named Johnson.

I spent my entire life as a west coast kid,… One thing I haven’t gotten used to after moving eastward, even tho it’s been a few years now,… cfb not kicking off right after I get up and moving on Saturday,… having to wait around for a while for the games to start is just unnatural. I miss every waking hour having a game on leading up to the late pac 12 game and getting in bed.

Bearcats with a typical “Coached by Mike Denbrock” start on offense

IU hasn’t been able to run the ball a lick and is running enough to get by on UC

IU 1/3 in the RZ surely won’t come back to be important in a defensive game lol

Ridder 7/15, 4.3 YPC, INT, fumble.

I have no idea why the media has tried to force his improvement down our throats. He’s not as bad as that line shows but this first round Ridder stuff was baffling

Has the ACC had any good non-con results this season? Not watching but seeing Miami in a fight with Mich St and Va Tech waxed by West Virginia. That’s your top half against the bottom half of other conferences

Deep into the 3rd, Ohio State only up 20-6 on an 0-2 Tulsa team that lost to UC Davis. I don't know if they're a playoff team this year.

Bama will/should win but what this shows me is how they wouldn’t be this super power if they really played a sec schedule like they constantly tout but never really live,… two lower division teams a year,… first time in a decade, a decade ( wrap your fucking minds around that!!!) playing in the swamp and avoiding UGA five years at a time,… the sec is a racket unlike hardly ever seen,… and they sell the best recruits on the idea they play and crush all takers,… if they really played each other each year they’d not have near the playoff reps,… none of this will matter long termwith the money being thrown out now but yeah,.. thanks for coming to my Ted talk but that’s my feelings

Pretty surprised Florida’s OL has won versus Bama’s F7 most of the day

NDs issues may be bigger in the end, but Clemson and OSU both have serious issues that aren’t going away

Not to mention UNC, A&M, UGA, OU, Iowa St. Oregon may be the only team to “rise” above pre-season expectations from the top teams

Clemson is coming down to earth. They’ve had a nice string of top tier QBs

And they have a ton of 5 stars we don’t have. But we need some major help.
