Honestly, that's a pretty respectable nod from the coaches considering the amount of starting talent we are replacing this year. 4 opponents in the top 15, that's pretty tough sledding.

Thankfully we have 3/4 at home, and Wisconsin neutral site.

If this time next year we have a #7 finish, Marcus Freeman for another year, and reasons for optimism regarding the young nucleus of the roster. Then I'll be a very happy camper.

I'll be real curious to see where these teams finish at the end of the season. There's always one or two that don't live up to the preseason rankings and one or two that come out of nowhere.

Keep seeing Wisconsin high and some individual reporters having them above us, is everyone just assuming Graham Maertz is good? Obviously their D is legit but I don’t understand justifying them that high on the basis of Maertz was amazing versus Illinois and average to below average the rest of the season.
