https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/10/politics/donald-trump-transition-biden-block/index.html

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-legal-options-trump-administration-keeps-stalling-transition/

Also a GSA Trump appointee will not authorize funds be issued to the Transition team as well as access to all relevant agencies as is normally done. She is ignoring Biden's requests at the behest of Trump.

There re others but all you have to do is google "Trump blocks transition"

Thanks. From this quote pulled from the CNN article, this doesn't seem to be a big deal to Biden.

Biden himself, however, shrugged off the delay as more of an inconvenience than a major hurdle in his efforts to assume power.
"I don't see a need for legal action, quite frankly," he said at a news conference in Delaware, where he has been holding meetings and speaking with foreign leaders, adding he believes he can get through the transition without federal funding.

My perception is the Trump legal team is largely hanging their hat on throwing out ballots entered and counted while poll watchers were denied meaningful access. I think this is a fools errand as the most likely recourse is a recount. Audit won't do squat since votes are already tabulated and separated from the voter. It will be a raw recount which will only capture double counting of ballots and not enough change the result (dead folks, ballot harvesting, ballot box stuffing and other hijinks are too late at that point too late to affect the count even though fraud easily may be found. Example, signed affidavit of witness to truckload of ballots delivered in the middle of the night - great, those are shuffled in and lost now - can't prove they were counted or not or who they were for.

Gotta love grilling the postal worker by the FBI within 48 hours but they can't be bothered to talk to Hunter.

Honestly what is he supposed to say? Haha. i would expect him to say something along those lines but in reality its a hamstring and unecessary and 100% intentionally done to cause problems. In true petulance the WH has told all agencies not to work with him. Its pretty pathetic but I guess that's where we are at now.

Please read. I am interested in the conservatives thoughts on the current GOP/Trumpist party. This very large study indicates the GOP is well on its way to an autocratic status while Dems are squarely in something less extreme. This is contradictive to almost all the consrvative posters have expressed here.

Figure 2 illustrates where the Republican Party (orange dots) and the
Democratic Party (blue squares) placed on several indicators before the
2018 election relative to all other ruling parties in democracies (above
the line) and opposition parties in democracies (below the horizontal
lines) in this millennium. The black vertical line gives the median or
typical value.
The data shows that the Republican Party in 2018 was far more illiberal
than almost all other governing parties in democracies. Only very few
governing parties in democracies in this millennium (15%) were considered more illiberal than the Republican Party in the US. Conversely, the
Democratic Party was rated slightly less illiberal than the typical party in
democracies. The Republican party scores much higher than almost all
parties in democracies on almost all of these indicators.

"What we see is that the disrespect of political opponents, the encouragement of violence and also the violation of minority rights ... they have all clearly increased with the Republican Party in recent years, since [President Donald Trump] came in the leadership but also before that," Anna Luehrmann, V-Dem's deputy director and one of the lead authors of the study, told CNN.

The US Democratic party has not shown a similar shift towards illiberalism, according to the study.
Researchers found that Democrats had become more populist and more anti-elitist since 2000, but less so than the Republicans. The move on the illiberalism scale pushed the GOP further away from its traditional European equivalents and towards more autocratic groupings.
Luehrmann said the trend could be described as toxic polarization.

The study, the largest of its kind, looked at the shifts in the identity of political parties across 169 countries between 1970 and 2019, based on the assessments of 665 experts who considered 30 detailed indicators in their research.
The US isn't the only one seeing a trend towards illiberalism -- the study showed the shift is a global phenomenon.
It found that the median governing party in democracies around the world is becoming more illiberal, showing lower commitment to political pluralism, demonizing political opponents, disrespecting fundamental minority rights and encouraging political violence.
"There's a real danger here that these parties are going to walk the talk when they are elected and that the path of democratic erosion accelerates," Luehrmann said.

It seems many on here think the Dems are SOOOOOOOO Far left fo center that they are bordering on communism lol. This report indicates the complete opposite. The Dems are still rights of center and the GOP is now way right and into autocratic government territory.

If you believe what they say about the left not moving at all on illegal immigration from 2010-2018, I have a bridge to sell you. There's a few things here that just defy reality, so it's a non-starter for me. If the surface checked the boxes, I would have dug into the datasets, but it doesn't. I'd guess the dataset itself and assumptions have a built in tilt.

So Biden's new CoS thought past elections were rigged. But I guess not now lol

The religious vote

The religious vote

People vote for more than one issue even a number of issues that a President has supported.

Exit polling shows Trump with 51% of Catholics with Biden getting 49%. Catholics make up 20% of the voting electorate. Trump carried white Catholics by a 15-point margin, according to AP/VoteCast data, marking a significant decline from his 33-point margin of victory over Hillary Clinton four years ago. Hispanic Catholics continue to vote Democratic.

Biden attracted more evangelical voters, decreasing Trump's margin by four percent. Exit poll data shows Biden grew white evangelical support for the Democratic ticket by 9 percentage points, drawing 14 percent support to Clinton’s 5 percent in 2016. Evangelicals make up 35% of Georgia's electorate where Biden is leading by 14,000 votes.

Biden attracted more Mormon voters (37.9%) than Clinton did (27.5%). Overall, Trump got 58.5% of the Mormon votes. There are large populations of Mormons in Arizona and Nevada. Y2 Analytics estimated there are 200,000 Latter-day Saint voters in Arizona, so Biden’s additional 9 percentage points over Clinton may have been 18,000 votes in a state where Biden, according to results available Thursday morning, leads in the state tally by 11,635 votes. Hispanics and Latinos made up 29.0% of Arizona's population

The five indicators capturing cultural issues place the Republicans
consistently to the right of the center. Democrats also fare to the
right of the median party in democracies in this millennium in
terms of the role of religion in politics, immigration, and support of
state measures to enhance the equal participation of women in the
labor market.
They fare to the left of the spectrum when it comes to
support for LGBT equality and opposing the idea of cultural superiority of particular group or nation.
That's unfortunate you arent gonna check it out.....Looks like they did look at Dems policies on immigration. Maybe the political narrative certain people accept in America is skewed?

Here is their methodology if you wish to dig in further.
Background on the Varieties of Party Identity and Organization Dataset (V-Party)
In January 2020, 665 carefully selected country experts have assessed the identity of the political parties in their country of expertise with
a vote share of more than 5% in a legislative election between 1970 and 2019 across 169 countries. This generates a dataset on 1,955 political parties across 1,560 elections--- or in total 6,330 party-election year units with 183,570 expert-coded data points. Typically, at least four
locally-based experts contributed to each question. Coder responses were aggregated using V-Dem’s custom-built statistical model to
ensure comparability across countries and time.5
It can be downloaded free of charge at v-dem.net.

I researched the creators of the document. When I saw that Anna Luhrmann, Garry Hindle, and Staffan I. Lindberg ALL appeared to be what Americans consider left wing, I didn't bother reading too much of the rest. One particular data set that I will point out is the "Encourages Violence" Now, I have seen a lot of violence from the left in the last 4 years.

"Selected experts"... hmmm

Sorry man. If you really think the Dems haven't moved on immigration from 2010-2018, I just don't know what to tell you. It totally defies reality. Whoever the "country experts" selected were, they totally missed the boat. And the dock. Sounds like an "expert" tilt.

I just spent a few minutes looking over V-Dem's twitter feed, background, etc..

All I can say is

LOL

And trying to find out who their "country experts" are....

We do not reveal the identity of our Country Experts and preserve Country Expert confidentiality according to a strict policy. All personal identifying information is stored separately and securely. The strict policy does not apply to Historical Country Experts who contribute data on the pre-1900 period. Historical Country Experts are given the option to be publicly acknowledged as an expert for their country or to remain anonymous. As such, some contact information is available through the V-Dem website.

Stupid Cack and his ridiculous STuDieS, I'll show his stupid liberal bias by posting videos from far right outlets who've been caught editing videos in the past.

He posted an article and asked what we thought. The first thing I did was research where the article was from and who it was written by. Something that all of us should do when consuming some content from the internet.

After reviewing I decided for myself that this was probably a biased research paper. I did go on to scan through the document and the one piece that immediately stuck out to me was the "encourages violence". At no point did I have the thought that I would "show his stupid liberal bias" anything. He is welcome to respond to my response.

So those videos, did they say those things or not? Far right, or Far left, it doesn't matter. We can argue media's manipulation of what is fed to people all day. So the videos are overdubbed and lip synced to be different words??

Quit being that little yappy ass dog that wants to come hover around another dogs food bowl...

I follow their twitter. I dont really see any thing outrageous. Not sure how an independent research group based out of the University of Gothenburg is an "lol" but oh well. I figured this was how it would go. Typical.

Ive seen their work in the Economist, Forbes, and they are interviewed by most MSM as well. But ok....

Here is another chart for those who care from teh Economist:

Exactly what I did when I saw the Blazetv guy's video you linked, and low and behold they got in trouble for messing around with an AOC video.

The videos are cut so tightly leaving out a bunch of context. You can cut up a video to show any person saying some heinous things.

You're allowed to be offended and upset about Maxime Waters, but to claim that she is leading some sort of charge to have violence is extreme.

Look, you posted something, that I don't think you understand (in terms of source data, and group background).

Independent? Look at their staff. Heck, their DD was the youngest ever elected to the Green Party

Their twitter is very lib. Everything is pro left, anti right. The GOP is authoritarian lol..

Regardless of the above, just tell me you agree that the left hasn't moved from 2010-2018 on immigration? It's like me handing you a study claiming water isn't wet.

The whole "data set" is based on "country experts" that they refuse to identify.

So just explain to me what their data specifically is, who it comes from, and why I should trust it.

So break it down for me.

The Varieties of Democracy Program (V-Dem) was originally based out of the Kellog Institute at NOTRE DAME UNIVERSITY IN SOUTH BEND INDIANA.
The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame was an instrumental part in building and establishing V-Dem. It was initially responsible for data collection in the Western Hemisphere, hosted workshops, and funded many students who worked on the project, as well as one of the Project Coordinators. In addition, the Center for Research Computing at Notre Dame developed the research database and the web interfaces that were used from 2011 to fall 2014. As the project grew, the V-Dem Institute in Gothenburg progressively assumed responsibility for these functions and became, in effect, the headquarters for the project. Recognizing the shifting roles, in 2018 the Kellogg Institute formalized its current role as the V-Dem Regional Center in North America, which supports research projects using V-Dem data and hosts speakers and occasional conferences and workshops.

They receive funding from very credible foundations to include the European Council, National Science Foundation and the Kellog Institutue:
Kellogg Institute, University of Notre Dame: Co-funding and funding of research assistance, data collection, conferences, fundraising, project management, co-funding on many research infrastructure grants, developing the questionnaire, developing the initial research database and website, improving the online data analysis tools, validating the first data for Latin America, identifying potential country experts, doing some preliminary A-coding, and employing a full-time administrator. Duration: 2011-today.

Their International Advisory Board
https://www.v-dem.net/en/global-team/advisory-board/

Micahael Coppage from Notre Dame is on their Steering Committee...

Idk why they protect he identity of their "experts'. Based on their criteria for contributing per their site, the criteria is high. I can also easily see that in many countries, classifying your country of expertise as autocratic or dictatorial could cause you problems, thereby adding bias to their work. If secrecy means they offer their honest opinions that they would have the secrecy policy they do. I doubt they would be getting funding from governments the World Bank and Notre Dame if they were felonious. At this point you are not going to understand or accept it it so move on.

As far as MW is concerned.... she tries her best to slither out of the comments. She said what she said. Here's the full vid, and actually her rebuttal to a friendly MSM hosts... It's intellectually dishonest to suggest she meant "I'll take him tonight" to mean she'll impeach him.... Everyone knew what she was referring too.

Another day and another vote count error. This one in Iowa and the race now swings in favor of the Republican. So far, every election vote error has favored a Democrat. Coincidence? When an interview resurfaces from Biden's own chief of staff where he states election cheating exists, who knows?!?! Where are the Bernie Sanders supporters on this board? You all know he not only had one election, but two stolen from him.

Simple.

What data is it based on and what are the data sets?

Are you saying the leaders aren't very left/liberal?

And again, do you think the left hasn't moved on immigration from 2010-2018

Three simple questions. Not sure why asking is unfair.

Nah, I'm not getting gas-lit for each part of the video that I think is without context. Played that game way too much. lol

As a fairly privileged white guy I find it tough to judge a lot of what MW says as it is often race related. I do find it incredibly ironic that a lot of people want to take what she says literally and without any nuance, however DJT you need careful nuance to understand his comments about locking up his political opponents or having them hung for treason.

Trump gets eaten up for every word. And you're playing the context and nuance game.....
