Just the facts....

-OL sucked
-Book was 81%
-2.27 yards per carry (taking out Book's attempts/yardage)
-Book improved on a couple long balls, last one, for the win
-D slept in the first half. Came through when we needed
-Special teams sucked.
-Pitt called a great game against us. Coverage was the best we've seen by far. Even the announcers were gushing... And the exotic blitzes were f'ing our OL up all day.
-Boykin, Finke, Claypool, Mack.. all did well

7-0, and honestly, it's the best week to get a let down out of the way.. mid terms, going into bye, could be ranked 4 tomorrow... it's a great week to come down to earth.

Couple thoughts:

1. Coming off two emotional wins, in the middle of midterms, and team is banged up. We had a lot going against us.

2. Blitzes, we don’t need no stinkin blitzes. Just rush 3 with Okwara, Kareem and Tillery all damn day.

3. O-line needs re-shuffling. Banks and Lugg need to get a look. The current lineup can’t take us to the promised land.

4. I’m happy as a clam with the win. Stay undefeated and no major injuries. Let’s hope we come out of the bye week healthy and firing on all cylinders.

1. ND isn't the only team learning a very tough lesson that "winning is hard". This week has been stuffed with grind it out games where highly ranked teams are either escaping or getting snared.

Two quick thoughts:

1. ND now has a tell. Dexter is the main back and when Jones comes in it’s for pass protection. I think jones only had one or two carries.

2. The pass rush on the last Pitt play was awesome and sealed the game. They only brought 3 against what looked like at least 5 or 6 and forced the throw.
