Was 2017 the year of Parity, or was Bama coddled by and easy schedule then just hit by the injury bug for part of the season?

We saw UCF beat a team on a neutral field that beat both championship finalists. We saw ND almost beat UGA. Was UGA too young with a new QB, or just not that good. Was ND better earlier, or just a good running/OL team that no one knew couldn't pass? Was Auburn just lucky, overrated, or just great home dogs. Is Bama just peaking at the right time and Saban is doing his normal witchcraft? Will Bama destroy UGA by 20 pts? Did OK choke and let UGA get away with one. Did Ohio State get ripped by not being in the playoffs after improving a ton. Is Ped State underrated? We thought Clemson was elite but got beat by a crappy Syracuse team and then handled by Bama. We saw OSU get shelled by OK early and then by Iowa on the road, but turned it around beat an improved USC team easily.

So, will Bama roll over the Dawgs, or will UGA prove the Tide is just as up and down as the rest of the field this year?

My bet, Bama rolls by 20+. Still no parity, injury bug for a bit, and Saban is still the recruiting, scheduling, and game planning evil genius he has been for a good while.

If so, football still sucks. UCF is #1 lol.

Bama kinda sucked for awhile this season. Played no one, lost a game, didn't win their half a conference, etc. But now they're healthier and it's going to be extremely hard for Georgia to beat them. Bama would've had a much harder time with either Oklahoma or Georgia... you need a great passing performance or to physically match up with them to have a shot. Clemson had rather obvious issues on offense all year against physical teams.

This.

Sucks because I live in AL and now I have to hear it. GA just handed BAMA another NC. OK could have beaten Bama, GA wont. Be another 24 to 10 game.

Just sucks how you dont win your conference and get to play one of the nations weakest schedules and still get a NC.

They need to make it so scheduling under .500 teams and D2 teams do not count towards your wins to qualify.

This is how I feel. I think it's incredibly stupid that bama couldn't make it to their sec conference game to play georgia, but they get to do it in the title game instead. I think they should have matched bama with georgia in the semis so they didn't have the chance to play in the championship game. I'm hoping it's the lowest rated game to date. Still want bama to lose but most likely won't be losing sleep to watch it.

I hope UGA wins by 60 - but I sure as hell won't watch it. Bama won't be as good with one week to prepare but still have the horses to beat anyone. Sure would be nice if they had to show up in the regular season to prove it though.

Classic SEC - Look at our two best teams in the title game - we are the BEST! LSU and Auburn losing to UCF and ND doesn't mean anything. Don't look at that TAMU loss to Wake f-ing Forest either. Texas smacking Mizzou? Kentucky loses to Northwestern?

So Car over Meatchicken
MSU over Louisville
two playoff games

While Florida, Ole Piss, Arkansas and Tennessee watched it all from home. You know, those names they throw out there like they are elite programs comprising the absolute gauntlet the two good teams must survive?

3T is sponsoring and will PM you. Roll Tide

Plenty of tickets still left. Got Lane K. MC'ing, H. Freeze handling "entertainment," and Butch Jones on security. Special appearance by Nick Saban. He may be old but "they don't build them like they used to."

As far as the parity question... I think this year showed that there is slightly more parity in CFB but the big dogs still litter the top. The gap is closing with the elites but obviously not as fast as some would like.
