Actually I saw the interview with a campaign spokesman I think it was on CNN or MSNBC.
Did he deny the claim or just say the other guy was not an advisor?
Actually I saw the interview with a campaign spokesman I think it was on CNN or MSNBC.
The Times sent Business Insider a statement from senior politics editor Carolyn Ryan, who points to Williams as the source of the Clarridge interview.
"It was Ben Carson's closest adviser, Armstrong Williams, who recommended that we talk to Mr. Clarridge and described Mr. Clarridge as a 'mentor' to Mr. Carson on foreign policy," Ryan said in the statement. "Mr. Williams also gave us Mr. Clarridge's phone number. Mr. Clarridge picked up the phone and our reporter, Trip Gabriel, conducted a very straightforward interview with him."
Ryan added: "Mr. Clarridge was the only adviser whose name was given to us by Armstrong Williams."
I'm sorry, why is it shocking that a presidential candidate spends a good chunk of his time reviewing foreign affairs? The actual JOB of the President entails spending a good chunk of your time reviewing foreign affairs.
Did you read that whole article?
Again. Clarridge is an adviser (though maybe not a top adviser) and even Carson's longtime business manager admits that Carson is having some struggles with foreign policy (the quote I gave above). On top of that they were told to contact Clarridge by Carson's business manager. So again, what is your issue?
Huh? Did you read the articles? They aren't attacking him for studying foreign policy, they are attacking him because he doesn't understand foreign policy.
His interview on Fox News is a great example of that.
I saw the interview last night from a campaign spokesman. The lady specifically said that the individual quoted in the story was NOT an adviser. It was a clear and unambiguous statement. She said he spoke with the gentleman quoted in the story but only infrequently and NOT in a manner seeking his advise on foreign policy. Further I understand that you do not believe this and there is nothing I can say will convince you otherwise and that is okay. Based on your posts you are not going to vote for the Republican nominee anyway so I don't know why you even care.
The Carson campaign reacted swiftly to the Times' story, casting Clarridge in a statement as "an elderly gentleman" who isn't part of Carson's inner circle.
"He is coming to the end of a long career of serving our country. Mr. Clarridge's input to Dr. Carson is appreciated, but he is clearly not one of Dr. Carson's top advisers," said Carson spokesman Doug Watts.
Again LOL.
Here is a quote from Carson's spokesperson
Funny how Carson spokesperson here says that he isn't a top adviser, not that he is not an adviser.
Did you ever think that in the interview you saw, the spokesperson was doing damage control, and not telling the whole truth?
As to me voting for a Republican or not, who cares? The fact that so many Republicans want him as President is scary to me (ditto with Trump).
Lastly I would consider voting for Kasich but unfortunately he has about a 1% chance of being the Republican nominee.
ETA: I have not pointed out two people from Carson's camp, a spokesperson and his longtime business manager who don't dispute that Clarridge was an adviser, just that he wasn't a top adviser.

You are being a little nit picky don't you think?

I am sure that many of their supports feel the same about Sanders and Clinton.

I agree. He has -0- chance of being the nominee. But quite frankly I don't think Carson has much of a chance either.

It's troubling to me too, and I'm a Republican.Samesies. It's troubling to me that the only two viable Republican candidates are completely bat-$hit crazy.
Again, you are being nit picky. Heck, during a campaign speech a couple of weeks ago Hilary said something about eliminating the question on a government job application that require "former Presidents" to confirm that have never been convicted of a crime. Now if you wanted to be nit picky you could claim that she was telling the truth and was referring to her husband, but really, everyone knew what she was talking about. You are just being argumentative.
It's troubling to me too, and I'm a Republican.
But Kasich is bat-$hit crazier.

As part of a broad national security plan to defeat ISIS, Republican Presidential candidate John Kasich proposed creating a new government agency to push Judeo-Christian values around the world.
The new agency, which he hasn't yet named, would promote a Jewish- and Christian-based belief system to four regions of the world: China, Iran, Russia and the Middle East.
"We need to beam messages around the world" about the freedoms Americans enjoy, Kasich said in an interview with NBC News Tuesday. "It means freedom, it means opportunity, it means respect for women, it means freedom to gather, it means so many things."
Actually, you are being nitpicky. The NYT article is mostly correct (ok it should have called him an adviser not a close adviser) and the main thrust of it was even confirmed by the Carson's longtime business manager, that Carson is having some struggles with foreign policy. You are the one nitpicking the article and acting like everyone is out to get Carson.
Also now that you can't defend Carson anymore you turn back to attacking Hilary. LOL. I don't like Hilary, I would really rather not vote for her, but unfortunately the Republicans seem Hell bent on running someone even worse than her. SMDH.
Well I might agree with that after seeing how he proposed
He wants to create a government agency that promotes Judeo-Christian values? WTF

ETA: I really have liked what I have seen from Kasich at the debates but this is a headscratcher.

One thing that Trump is right about is that Kasich got lucky with fossil fuels in Ohio. He's spent the entire debate season parroting left-wing talking points. He doesn't even fake like he has a spine on immigration, he abandons logic to make appeals on emotion, he brags about expansion of Medicaid under Obamacare, he wants to bail out banks, etc. We've had two consecutive presidential elections of nominating moderate candidates, and moderate candidates don't win for the Republicans. We need a conservative candidate who can pitch and sell conservatism. "Bold colors."It seems like a lot of you guys (traditionally conservative) don't like Kasich. Why is that? Every time I hear him speak, he seems to really get what's going on. He also has done a great job in Ohio and has broad appeal.
I feel like i'm missing something.
There may not be anyone on the planet crazier than Trump/Carson. I simply cannot fathom that.
Wow, new poll out of Florida.
Trump beats Clinton by 8
Carson beats Clinton by 9
Rubio beats Clinton by 7
Bush beats Clinton by 4
Cruz beats Clinton by 3
Colorado:
Trump +11
Carson +14
Rubio +16
Cruz +13
Wtf?
Millennials not as liberal as we thought.
