Just saw that. Upgraded him to Medium. If a guy doesn't have a profile on here, Thomas doesn't, I usually just assume he never expressed any interest.

“@ISDUpdate: We wrap up our Junior Day coverage by explaining why we believe the Irish actually lead for all four prospects who were there with offers.”

Barajas, Boykin, Taylor, and Hilliard, correct?

@SleeperAthletes: #Alpharetta HS (GA) & #Tennessee commit 4-star DE Andrew Butcher (@ButcherAndrew1) receives offer from the #NotreDame #FightingIrish

Andrew Butcher

An II update has Clemson as the childhood favorite for Andrew. However, he was turned off when they offered a bunch of DE's before him so he committed to Tenn. Hid dad says that its going to take a lot to change his sons mind but that the ND offer definitely carries weight.

-Side note, this sounds like a Kyle Bosch commitment to me.

Not Lucky but I think i have your answer. Bosch considered ND his childhood favorite. I believe we offered but never really showed much interest in him. He came up for a visit and BK was not present during his stay. He felt like he wasn't a priority(he wasn't) and consequently visited and committed to scUM soon after that visit.

Irishbluehen's got it. Basically a childhood fan who gets butthurt we didn't offer him immediately. IIRC, I don't believe we offered during his visit. His 247 timeline is a Feb. 17th visit to ND, no offer, and a Feb. 18th commitment to UM.

It's just a quote from Adam and then Loy talking about him as a player. He says the offer is big real big. There a lot to like about ND he's going to do more research and see if it's the right fit for him.

Probably deserves a profile

"I called and talked to Coach Booker and a few other coaches and he just let me know how bad they all wanted me," said McLean. "He told me that I'm the top defensive tackle on the board and he said he wants me to visit real soon.

"I believe I'm going to be down there on March 20. They really want me there and I really want to get there. This is huge for me and I want to check it out and see what it's all about. I'm going to consider them really hard."

He also mentioned going on a bus tour with Tim Settle, Matthew Burrell, Darius Fullwood, and Marcus Lewis this summer. Here's to hoping ND is a stop. We have an offer out to all of them except Fullwood

Thought he already had one. Definitely deserves a profile, we're going to be squarely in the race for him. Very good to elite prospect and off the cuff I'd expect it to be Ohio State, Penn State, and ND that start to stand out for him.

That bus tour has a crazy amount of talent.

Based on nothing at all I feel we should be able to land Elijah Taylor plus one of McLean/Wilkins/McKenzie. Would be a nice DT haul

I agree based on 1) gut, 2) it moved, 3) NDSean said so, and 4) sources.

Natrez Patrick will be visiting in June, he doesn't know when exactly but his coach set it up for a summer camp. Says he's always wanted to check out ND. Not sure we have a legitimate shot to pull this kid but getting him in campus is the first step.

Just had time to read the article posted LL, great read! I had to chuckle at one part in particular :

Once upon a time, everybody lined up in more or less the same way on the defensive line, usually directly in front of their blocker. It was a case of the better, stronger man wins, like an Oklahoma drill (if you’ve never seen one of these, google it, it’s well worth it!), until coaches started to figure out that shading them one way or other allowed them to have a much easier route into the backfield and they could be proactive, not reactive when it came to playing defense: instead of reading and reacting, they could attack and stop the play before it got going.

I know that RB has peaked everybodys interest so far this cycle. This is a post from TJ regarding RB recruiting.

I think we're still very much involved with, to varying degrees at this early juncture, guys like Brossette, Jamabo, Patrick, Simmons, Williams, possibly Harris, plus some Athlete types who could play SlotWR and APB such as Lovette and others.

RB is a position group that will shake out more once the April/May road evals are completed and further assessment and due diligence is done through summer camps and visits.

Notre Dame looked to the other side of the country for one of their defensive back offers. In doing so, they returned to familiar recruiting grounds. Tyson Cisrow, DB, 6-1, 190, St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Fort Lauderdale, FL hails from the same school as 2014 Notre Dame commit Corey Holmes. In fact, it was while looking at Holmes, that the Irish also began to recruit Cisrow.
“One of my good friends and teammates, Corey Holmes is going up there,” Cisrow shared. “That’s when I first started looking into them. Then during the season I heard Coach (Tony) Alford was looking at me and recruiting me. After the season I got in contact with him and we’ve been talking here and there. Notre Dame has always been a top program and Coach (Brian) Kelly has the team running nice. It’s always been one of my favorites.”
When Cisrow spoke with Alford a few weeks ago, he told the Irish Recruiting Coordinator that he hoped to make it up for the Spring Game or the summer. The Florida speedster is very interested in learning more about Notre Dame.
“I just want to see that home atmosphere,” he said. “I just want to go up there and see how the football is. Corey’s told me there’s nowhere else like Notre Dame. It’s just a great program that I should look into, that’s what Corey said.”
Holmes will join Florida transfer Cody Riggs as former St. Thomas Aquinas players in South Bend. Cisrow really isn’t surprised that so many former Raiders have ended up at Notre Dame.
“We’re a Catholic private school,” he explained. “Notre Dame is like that. They take their education very seriously up there like St. Thomas. They relate to each other.”
Cisrow currently holds offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Illinois, Cincinnati, South Florida and others. Clearly he feels genuinely grateful for the attention.
“It’s a blessing first of all,” he said about the offers. “It feels like all my hard work is kind of paying off. It’s like a dream come true. I’m glad people have given me recognition early.”
Cisrow, who has been clocked at 4.45 in the forty credits his off the field work with his on the field success.
“I put in a lot of time in the film room,” he said. “When I take it to the field I already know what’s going to happen. The biggest aspect of my game is making plays on the ball; that’s what I love doing.”
Cisrow has already been to Miami and plans to see South Florida and Georgia Tech soon. He also plans to make it to Notre Dame. He knows what he’s going to be looking for on his visits.
“Definitely education and, like I said, feeling comfortable,” he said. “For the football picture, going in and being able to get playing time and being comfortable around the team.”
Cisrow hopes to have a decision by summer, but if he can’t decide in that time frame, at the very least he wants to get it out of the way before the start of his senior season so that he can concentrate on bringing another state championship to St. Thomas Aquinas.

Visiting in June for camp. Top 3 Bama, UGA and Auburn. ND is close behind but he doesn't know enough about ND yet. Offer is at OLB and he likes the way ND is talking to him about the position.
