Really?? Those are your reasons why??
Believe me, the NFL will come a calling....and no matter how "slow" he walked up to the student section or what he said in the locker room, it will be hard to say no when you're the top dog at your position.
Middle linebackers don't get drafted very high. Go look at the drafts the past 15 yrs.
He's not even the top MLB on many boards - BC's beast is.
He's not winning as many fans (NFL-wise) with his play this year. Playing on a bum ankle will do that to you. He could very well be a 2nd rounder. Why not stay and play your way into the first round?
Don't dismiss how close he is to his 'bros' on the team, especially guys like Calabrese and Fox et al, all of whom will be back.
Don't dismiss his promise to his parents to get his degree. He is not on track to graduate early...he was not an EE.
This is not basketball. Lots of players stay four-five years in order to get their body to mature enough to be a legit 1st rounder.
He could definitely go pro, but there's a reason why people close to the program think there's a good chance he'll stay. You're dismissing all of these things and going off only by what you think. But there's more info out there.
