Cause they are the Irish, and I'm part Irish. Cause they have a rich tradition going back to the 1842. They have sweet helmets, and the best victory march by far. The Golden Dome, and Touchdown Jesus. They have the same nickname as the famous 69th NY Volunteer Regiment's "Fighting Irish". Knute, Ara, Frank, Lou, and Dan. I like Leps, and Shamrocks. It musnt be the football lately thats for sure!

I think that we are all struggling to come to grips with being just another mediocre team. For me, it's about more than wins and losses. It's about doing things right. And being successful, while doing things right. It's about guys like Alan Page. An All-American, an NFL Hall of Famer, a former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice. It's a result a growing up in an Irish Catholic family in NE Ohio. And it's possibly about being just a bit rebellious: In my family, there are 7 Cleveland Browns fans, so I naturally became a Steelers fan. There are also 7 Ohio State fans: becoming a Michigan fan was beyond even the most rebellious youngster, so I became an ND fan. My grandfather, a great Irishman, taught me the history of Notre Dame football. He, moreso than anyone/anything else, started me on the path to cheering on the Blue and Gold.

Because I've pledged my undying allegience to the Irish. Also, I'm mostly Irish, so the Fightin' Irish culture is born and bred in me. We Are....N....D.....

We do it right... Student. Athletes. Our guys make some mistakes, but they're not criminals or thugs. And, for the most part, our fans aren't a bunch of a$$holes.

I think we can all agree on that... I hate the Jets. And I hate Braylon even more... Tell Michigan boy to grab a cab and lay off the sauce...... Love, Cleveland

the funny thing is the Jets have a car service available to the players 24x7 just so they don't drive drunk. Guess some people are just dense.

Page is my favorite ND football player-alum. He's STILL a Supreme Court Justice here in the state of Minnesota. Just thought you should know.

I'm proud to be a lovable loser irish fan because even after the last dreadful 22 years,we still have the most storied program in the history of ncaa athletics.and it will be that much sweeter when we are finally back on top of the mountain where we belong.

Because Notre Dame is Notre Dame. There is no way to explain it. Notre Dame is just very special like no other college. Also the whole season tickets thing.

I'm so proud to be an Irish fan, because when i would watch the game with my grandpa, the game was the only thing that mattered, he taught me about the tradition, what the university stood for, and why it meant so much to our family, and why he HATED usc, michigan, michigan state, boston college etc. I wasn't able to share the 88 nc with him, but i know i will get to shre one with him before its over, and when ND is back, i can't wait to see everyone's faces.

It's all about family. There is one thing that everyone in my family can agree on and that is our love for the University of Notre Dame. It brings all the generations together, and to see my grandfather sitting back with his little smirk, watching the game with his sons, grandsons, and great grandsons is a wonderful feeling. ND always brings us together and I am thankful for that. Go Irish!
