Upshaw has tremendous upside. He's going to improve that defense from the time he starts.

This mock draft is at light speed compared to last years.

I am a little disappointed with the lack of analysis the majority of posters are posting though.

I don't get why we are doing this now as opposed to a month from now, when the stock of these kids will have started to settle. So much changes between now and April 26.

At the very least, this should be version 1, and we should do a 2.0 mock at the beginning of April or something. Doing it now, we might as well have just done it in December.

I believe we are having a mock 2.0 after the pro days are done.

Can there be a post listing the top 10 who have been drafted to see whos off the board easily?

Yea, a wee bit early. But I was thinking the same thing similar to Kiper, this draft can be Irish Envy Mock Draft Version 1.0 until MGriff posts the official Mock Draft thread someone time in Apri. THat draft can be 1.1 or 2.0 or whatever.

Mgriff posted the Mock Draft, I beleive, last year.

I have tried copying everyone's comments onto the first post but have had multiple internal server errors messages when trying to save them. Some I have had to paraphrase. I'll try to copy some of the new ones in now.

I'll add to my analysis for the Rams pick:

They will trade out of this spot to either the Browns at 4 or the Redskins at 6. Either way, Justin Blackmon will be their selection. The Rams' most pressing needs are along the OL and at WR. With Brandon Lloyd possibly following Josh McDaniels, WR is the most glaring need as Bradford has had zero help two years in a row. Hard to pass up Matt Kahlil here, but Blackmon comes in as the #1 target for Bradford.

All good points and I agree. You forgot, however, that Mullett Fisher is now running the show in St. Louis though. I'll make a wager with you (real or virtual) that he won't draft a WR that high-- it goes against his entire core philosophy of winning a game 9-6 with a FG as time expires.

Chiefs are on the clock. They need defensive help. I dont pick for them, but my guess is they would be considering Kuechly at LB or Poe at DT. Both are great athletes who can help their defense. Will be very interested to see who they select.

Now, watch them go Offense, just to prove me wrong.

Michael Floyd moved up after combine K.C needs what Bowe never could give. I believe he falls into what could be a great fit for him in K.C.

Analysis added to my pick. I was too hungover yesterday to think straight.

Hahaha

Analysis for the Fins taking Ingram at 8 is as follows:

Coples, while being a physical freak of nature, may not necessarily have the drive. I feel that Ingram is a safer pick, and in the first round Jeff Ireland is a missionary-position-only kind of guy.

The QB position will be addressed (somehow). Dolphans have been hoping for a QB to fill Marino's shoes (or at least be able to carry his jock) for roughly half of my life. Despite his stellar numbers, I just can't see the Fins drafting Case Keenum. The reason behind that is he put up those stellar numbers at ****ing Houston. Ireland simply cannot afford to whiff on a QB this offseason. One of these 4 options will happen, Dolphins sign Manning, trade up for RGIII, or sign Flynn (really hope it isn't Flynn he put up solid numbers in 2 games last year but those came vs. 2 of the worst pass defenses in the league). If they are outbid for Manning and Flynn, and trade rights to RGIII, Tannehill is the pick at 8. Just my gut here, but I feel like Manning will be in Miami next year.

I have no idea about Tannehill. You mention him as a possibility at #8 for Miami. Saw Jason LaCanfora's Top 10 Mock on line at NFL.com. He has St. Louis doing a double trade down. First trading down to #6 w/ Washington (who take RG3), and then trading out from #6 with Seattle. Has Seattle taking Tannehill at #6. Has the Rams out of the Top 10 all together. A bunch a 2nd rounders and future 1st rounders maybe, but I dont see Ram fans being happy with that scenario.

I think RGIII is the browns to lose. 2 first rounders this year and second next year is going to be tough to beat.

With the board shaking out how it has, the Seahawks would be deciding between 3 different players. Luke Kuechly, David DeCastro, Wihitney Mercilius. With two FA starting linebackers that may be leaving in David Hawethorne and (3 time arrest doper/girlfriend abuser--arrested that 3rd time this past weekend) Leroy Hill) Luke may be a good choice. They with KJ Wright found in the 4th round as a starter last year, I can see the Hawks resigning David and drafting later in the draft a linebacker. Linebackers seem to be much easier to find in later rounds or undrafted FA like Hawethorne out of TCU. David DeCastro maybe the answer they have been looking for since Tim "the idiot" Ruskell told Holmgren he was going to Tag Steve Hutchinson and then Holmy went on vacation and Tim "the Idiot" reversed his decision and didn't franchise Hutch. And the Hawks have been searching ever since. They drafted Carpenter and Moffit in the 1st and 3rd rounds last year. And both had season ending knee injuries. And may not be ready to play next year. So, DeCastro may be a great fit. But, there is a glaring hole at DE. Chris Clemmons is really solid but is getting older. And Raheem Brock is WAAAAAAYYYY past old. And Red Bryant is a FA too, and may not resign. So, that leaves a gaping hole at DE. The DB's are really good with 3 guys that were probowlers, and one on the way in Richard Sherman. They need a pass rush in the biggest way. Nick Perry may be very temping out of USC, but the overall talent of Whitney Mercilius may be too much to pass up.

So, I say DE Whitney Mercilius out Illinois is the pick.

nin05 seems to have gone AWOL. First member who doesnt already have a team may submit a pick for him. It's a pick for the Arizona Cardinals.

Not valid Slim! You're already selecting for the Titans. My guess is Dever will still be available for you then.

Haha! Well what if I add some analysis to the pick? Does that help to legitimize it? Something like: Taylor was really disappointing at the combine. His slow 40 time, low reps, and light weight had him drop out of the discussion for one of the top couple of OL drafted, but the Cardinals have a good history of drafting poor anyway, so this isn't that bad of a pick for them.

You would take Tannehill over Cousins and trade away the chance to ogle Kate Upton? You crazy.
