1) Carolina Panthers: DT Nick Fairley - Auburn. No-brainer. Fairley has dominated all season long and was a big reason Auburn won the National Championship. Fairley will have an instant impact on the Panthers, and he doesn't have much competition for the starting job.
2) Denver Broncos: CB Patrick Peterson - LSU. I believe this is a great pick up for the Broncos. Champ Bailey and Andre Goodman can still get it done, but their years are numbered. Patrick Peterson is a force off the line and will greatly help the worst defense in football during the 2011 season.
3) Buffalo Bills: DE Da'Quan Bowers - Clemson. With this kid rushing the passer, offensive lines will have their hands full. 16 sacks this year for Clemson, and just pure strength. The Bills need talent like his on defense, and Da'Quan gives it to them.
4) Cincinnati Bengals: WR A.J Green - Georgia. With T.O and Ochocinco most likely on their way out of Cincinnati, A.J Green is by far a great choice. Carson Palmer had a sub-par season with 2 dare I say it, washed-up "star" wide receivers. I think A.J will give Carson a great deal of confidence as he has some of the strongest hands I've ever seen.
5) Arizona Cardinals: CB Prince Amukmara - Nebraska. Prince is a strong corner with good speed and great size at 6'1 205. He was the Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year this year, and rightfully so. Arizona's Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had a so-so season, but I think if you throw Prince into the mix the depth and skill at the cornerback position is great for the Cards.
6) Cleveland Browns: WR Julio Jones - Alabama. The Browns need to improve at a lot of positions, but I think if you give QB Colt McCoy a weapon like Julio Jones, this will be one of the deadliest offenses in the league. With the power running of Peyton Hillis, Julio Jones will stretch the defense on play action but can also run those small crossing patterns. He has great leaping ability aswell, and being 6'4 helps.
7) San Fransisco 49ers: QB Blaine Gabbert - Mizzou. Harborough loves this guy. And the 49ers need a QB. He can be in-accurate at times, but has great arm strength and has great pocket presence. He has great size at 6'5 235, a "perfect" QB size. I'm sure Crabtree would like a QB that can finally get him the ball, and the the 49ers defense has a lot of potential with Patrick Willis manning the linebackers so I think they're fine on that side of the ball.
8) Tennessee Titans: DE Aldon Smith - Mizzou. Back to back Mizzou players in the top 10?! Yep, Aldon Smith is the truth. He has sheer strength and speed that helps him get to the QB in a flash. If Babin re-signs, the Titans have a deadly pass rush, and if Babin doesn't, then this pick is a lock.
9) Dallas Cowboys: DE Von Miller - Texas A&M. I know Jerry Jones wants to draft Cam Newton here, but his senses will kick in and he'll take Von Miller. Miller can drop back into coverage nicely, and also rush the passer. He seems fragile which probably doesn't make him a top 5 pick, but I think he will develop the Dallas Cowboys into a solid defense.
10) Washington Redskins: QB Jake Locker - Washington. The Redskins need a Quarterback, plain and simple. Rex Grossman isn't the answer, but a pure passer like Jake Locker is. He didn't have the weapons around him in Washington like he will in Washington with Santana Moss and speedster Anthony Armstrong. The Redskins might trade down to draft Ingram or Ja'quizz, but I see them content with Locker.
11) Houston Texans: OLB Akeem Ayers - UCLA. Texans are switching to a 3-4 with Wade lolPhillips this season and need a coverage OLB and a nose tackle. Unfortunately with their draft position they would need to trade way down, or way up to get a decent one and I don't see them doing that. Akeem is a quality linebacker who has great coverage skills.
12) Minnesota Vikings: QB Cam Newton - Auburn. Plain and simple, the Vikings need a franchise signal caller, and Newton is the answer. I can see Leslie Frazier running a triple option with Newton, Harvin and Peterson... can't you? But seriously, although he had a average National Championship game, he is still a great dual-threat QB which the Vikes need.
13) Detroit Lions: DE Cameron Jordan - Cal. Great pass-rusher, will look good beside Suh. He needs to improve his strength as he has great speed. Best player on the board at this time.
14) St. Louis Rams: TE Kyle Rudolph - Notre Dame. This might be a bit of a homer pick, but I think Bradford needs a security blanket and at 6'7 Rudolph is just that. The Rams biggest weapon is Amendola and lets face it, he isn't a top 15 or even top 20 receiver in the league. Bradford had a great rookie campaign with him, and if the Rams do choose Rudolph then Bradford is a happy man.
15) Miami Dolphins: DT Marcell Dareus - Alabama. In a draft full of strong defensive linemen, Dareus rounds off a solid top 15. Dolphins could use a dominate inside force to match their dominate outside pass rush and Dareus has the skills to be a NT.
16) Jacksonville Jaguars: DE Ryan Kerrigan - Purdouchebags. Hate to say it, but this guy is good. Jacksonville had a crappy pass rush this year, and really need to get to the quarterback more often. Ryan will help them.
17) New England Patriots: OT Tyron Smith - USC. Patriots line is pretty good, but you can never have enough depth on your line. Tyron is great in pass blocking, and decent in run blocking. I think if Tyron has a good camp he will be starting for the Pats.
18) San Diego Chargers: DE Cameron Heyward - Ohio State. Merriman is gone, and the Chargers are left without a pass-rush. Heyward was in top 5/10 pick range, but a sub-par season hurt his stock.
19) New York Giants: OT/G Gabe Carimi - Wisconsin. If the Giants don't draft an offensive lineman, they really need to give their heads a shake. They had lots of inconsistent play, and Gabe will provide solidity to the line.
20) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DE Justin Houston - Georgia. Justin had a great season this year with 11 sacks, and his sheer strength has a lot of scouts heads turning. Look for the Bucs to pick him up to put him on the opposite side of the ball as Hali.
21) Kansas City Chiefs: C Stefan Wisniewski - Penn State. Casey Wiegmann is 38 years old and should retire soon. Stefan has played solid at Penn State and will improve an already developed Chiefs line once Wiegmann retires.
22) Indianapolis Colts: OT Derek Sherrod - Mississippi State. The only reason the Colts don't give up 60 sacks a year is because Peyton gets the ball out faster then any QB in the league. Derek should help out the run game as well.
23) Philadelphia Eagles: OT Nate Solder - Colorado. Eagles gave up over 50 sacks this year and need improvement on their offensive line. Solder will provide depth and extensive knowledge.
24) New Orleans Saints: DT Stephen Paea - Oregon State. Sedrick Ellis can't do it all himself, Paea will help him out stuffing the run.
25) Seattle Seahawks: CB Brandon Harris - The U. Do the Seahawks even have a pass defense? Anybody would be an improvement, but Harris will definitely help out the 'hawks.
26) Baltimore Ravens: WR Jonathon Baldwin - Pitt. Mason is getting older, and Houshmanzadeh is a hack. Baldwin will be a very viable target for Flacco, on a team that doesn't have any real needs.
27) Atlanta Falcons: DE Corey Linguit - Illinois Solid prospect, and nobody is on the other side of Abraham who is getting older. No real needs on this team either.
28) New England Patriots: WR Titus Young - Boise State. Mini-Wes Welker. Smart, smart football player who Belichick will admire. Going from Kellen Moore to Brady might be a transition, but he has strong hands.
29) Chicago Bears: OT Anthony Castonzo - Boston College. Let me use 2 words.. Week 4.
30) New York Jets: RB Mikel Leshoure - Illinois . LT will retire soon and Leshoure can provide a bruising 1-2 punch with Shonne Greene. Big, physical runner.
31) Green Bay Packers: RB Mark Ingram - Alabama. Ingram would be the best RB in the draft if not for his injury plagued season. The Packers need a true #1 runningback, no offense to Ryan Grant.
32) Pittsburgh Steelers: G Mike Pouncey - Florida. The Pouncey Connection. Solid blocker who has a mean streak. Steelers need improved o-line play.
