Shoppach..yardwork. Great catch by a fan in center, but the throw back left something to be desired...and he was wearing a Rangers shirt with the antlers on the back. Been trying to figure out just what in h*ll those were all about since last year's ALCS.

Seriously, this Moore kid has ONE career start and 9.1 innings pitched on his major league resume. And he's DEALING. That's major league balls on Maddon. Starting this kid tonight is the real life equivalent of Lou Brown summoning Ricky Vaughn from the pen to get Heywood out in the 9th. Not knocking Girardi, but it must be cool to have a manager that doesn't base all of his decisions on a trapper keeper full of stats.

Shields had an awful 4th inning, and it cost the Rays the game.

The Trop has sold out and will be rocking for Monday! Can't wait to see playoff baseball in St. Pete again!

Probably a good break for NY. How soon can Verlander and CC bounce back? How many games can Verlander pitch now?

CC is a beast on short rest. I think I heard that Verlander has never pitched on short rest. Not sure how true that is, but I swear that's what I heard.

This is true. It was stated the other day that he has never pitched on short rest. But I'm not sure 25 pitches is really the same.
