I say Tigers win tomorrow just because Verlander is that good.

I hate to say it because I'm a Reds fan, but I think either the Cards or the Rays win it. It is usually the team that goes into the playoffs hot that wins. Cards are 16-5 and Rays are 14-7 in their last 21.

I will root for any teams that are playing the the Tigers and the Yankee$. Unfortunately they are playing each other. I guess I'll just root for them to beat each other up enough that TB/TX will have an easier time in the ALCS

The Cardinals starters have an ERA of 1.15 against the Phillies this year. Although I have a bias, I still think the Cardinals are a team to fear in the postseason.

The ERA is still something to be reckoned with. Excluding the one game where the Phillies scored 10 runs, the Cardinals rotation has held the Phillies in check offensively for the whole season. Plus. the braves were a defeated team about halfway through September. Their record in September says it all.

After checking and editing my post, it looks like Kyle Lohse is starting for us game one. He's had a solid year for us this year with a 3.4 ERA. Edwin Jackson for Game 2 and Chris Carpenter for game 3.

The Yanks lead the majors in runs scored and HRs. This line-up can wear any pitcher down and has a perfect mixture of young talent and veteran, post-season leadership.

This is a great match-up on paper.. I don't think either team is getting swept.

come on phork this will be a great series that either team could win. I kind of worried about verlander but the rest doesn't scare anybody. but good luck but i hope the yanks win the series.

The Phils are CLEARLY the best team imo... and because of a stupid wildcard they may get bounced in a five game first round... The Cards are pretty damn hot right now...

You'd think I'd like that as my NL team has always been St Louis and I love Pujols, but sorry, no matter what happens this week Phils are better and deserve a World Series birth imo... respect 162 over 5
