Notre Dame will welcome nearly 20 recruits over the weekend for its junior day recruiting event. One 2020 prospect, though, got in on the fun early.

Offensive tackle Levi Rogers was on the ND campus Thursday for an overnight visit (unofficial), he told ND Insider. Rogers trekked to South Bend on Thursday and was scheduled to leave Friday. 247Sports first reported the news.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder's first trip to ND comes early in the recruiting process for him. A product of Woodinville (Wash.) High, Rogers said he's still sifting through options and taking visits.

247Sports rates Rogers as a three-star recruit, ranking him as its No. 56 OT and No. 539 overall player. Rogers holds offers from USC, California, Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington State.

Can't believe Loy didn't mention Rogers recently moved to WA from Mass. HUGE piece of the story.

SO much talent for ND to choose from this year at OT & OG/C. Almost don't care as long as 5*Tosh is in the haul.

From the 2020 Master List:

I don't trust recruits from the state of Washington so important to note, he just moved there. Info in the Huffman Freebie below.

You trust recruits from Massachusetts? Why? Aside from Justin "Notre Dame's All-Time Leading Scorer" Yoon, I'm struggling to think of one who's made a dent at ND in decades.

(Seriously though, where did he play in Mass? I couldn't find anything. There are a few decent programs but it's not exactly a high school football hotbed).

Edit: Looks like he maybe went to BC High, which is one of the stronger football programs around here, and probably the best Catholic school, academically, in Boston. I'll allow it.

I trust Mass kids more than I trust Washington kids ALL DAY. If ND gets in on a Mass kid early and stays on him as a priority (at the right position) I'd take them vs the field every time.

List of non-offers that ND would have been in great position for:
Joe Gaziano - DE - Northwestern
Lukas Denis - CB - BC
Sean McKeon - TE - Michigan
Noah Gray - TE - Duke
Blake Gallagher - LB - Northwestern
Finn Dirstine - OG - BC
Mike Sainristil - CB - Michigan
Bryce Gallagher - LB - Northwestern

Recent offers ND did NOT go balls out on, or didn't recruit correctly:
AJ Dillon - RB - BC
Pat Friermuth - TE - PSU

2020 Class: best Mass class I've ever seen:
Kevin Pyne - ND cooled and he went to BC
Kalel Mullings - LB/RB - Offered
Zak Zinter - OT - Offered and ND possibly/probably leads
Eamonn Dennis - WR/RB - Offer worthy
Cam Large - DE/TE - Offer and might lead
Jay Brunelle - WR - Visited and is returning for Irish Invasion - ND will lead if they offer
Ozzy Trapilo - OT - The right kind of P5 offers and he's 6-8
Caleb Fauria - Flex - Big WR/TE w/ a lot of P5 offers including Iowa which sees him as Noah Fant 2.0

2021 Prospects that might be ND offer worthy:
Doug Crippen - OG - Transferred to IMG
Drew Kendall - DE - Noble & Greenough
Casey Phinney - LB - Noble & Greenough

Lastly, the best college prospect in the state. ND will offer soon:
