I will say that speaking badly about someone who has only represented the university in the right way is in bad taste. Especially when they just announced their departure. Be courteous.

We also have several people who read these posts including family, friends, and players themselves. Consider what you'd say to someone if they were standing right in front of you and not on the other side of a computer.

Curious on your take with a player leaving right in the middle of spring practice? Is that the right way? Have we or did we congratulate Buchner and pyne? I seem to remember more “don’t let the door hit you on the way out”

We are over the scholarship limit and need to trim down after coaches get a feel for the team after spring practices. Players who likely won't get playing time are probably being politely encouraged to explore options at schools where they will see more time. So yes Beau is 100% right about being courteous towards these players

Kids are going to transfer, it's the way of things today. If they do things the right way, just be fucking classy or don't say anything at all. It isn't hard.
So do or don’t talk about the impact of them leaving has? Like actual football stuff? Cause some can’t handle frichan football talk.

Clarence you were a great teammate and sounds like good dude, best of luck

now that we got that out of the way… what’s 2 deep look like for fall… is bell the 4th?

Life goes on. There's always the opportunity that someone else transfers in, or maybe a Xavier Watts switches positions and kills it. It'll be fine.

Spare the false platitudes and fake lectures on bigotry. You called CL “an awful player” in his own thread, when the young man did nothing but express gratitude and respect. Keep playing games. It’s only a matter of time.
Also, Clarence Lewis is clearly not an awful player. He’s not one of the best three corners at ND right now but he’s also not the worst. He had physical limitations which got exposed at times but part of that is the nature of the position. Puss up wouldn’t be clamoring about this stuff if Clarence played receiver. Thanks for being Irish, C-Lew.
