Posts about Jonah from other threads:

This film reminds me a lot of Jarrett Patterson's. He flows from one block to the next like a pro. Great feet, gets to the second level like a Nebraska FB in the 70's. And he likes to finish with nasty authority. Around play 8 or so, watch as he drops back into PP and delivers a punch. When you see it you'll know what I'm talking about. It's basically assault and battery, defender assumes fetal position. Definitely has the books covered too as you'll see below.

Alexander's been following him for a while and he just started following Quinn. I did put him on the Master Thread List last year but I didn't check out his 2018 film until his offers started pouring in. It's one of those handful a year that slaps you in the face.

All of his offers (besides Cal) came in the last month:

Oregon
UVa
Columbia
Michigan
Ore St
Nevada
Vandy
Wazzu
Dartmouth
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
USC

Since Quinn's all about the 6-7+ OT's, I'll take Monheim at OG. I seriously want to go back and look at the Raym, Tucker, Zinter, Skoronski, etc films and see where Monheim's ranks. Dude's way up there, I know that.

That's my 4 being greedy but I doubt ND can land all 3 OT's. You just don't see 3 top shelf OT's going in the same class. That's why you tend to think, 2 pure OT's, a Zak Zinter-ish swing and an OG/C like Skoronski. Atteberry's in that mix too for sure.

As for Skoronski, I like him not only on the field but that he's a Catholic kid from Chicagoland and doesn't have any legacy problems with dad being a Yale grad. Grampa's Packer history and his family's long history with Wisconsin worried me if the Badgers got involved early on but it's clear he's going top shelf with ND, NW and Tree as the assumed leaders.

I was hoping ND would jump into the Jonah Monheim sweepstakes but then the he went Double Live Gonzo at the LA camps and he's not Crusader's little secret any longer. He got 25 offers since the mid Jan. with Bama, Aub, Utah, TCU, K State, MSU, AZ PSU & Wash coming in the past 2 weeks. Love his film, love them Ivy offers.

247 didn't raise his rating. Either that was a rare miss by Biggins or the mothership didn't listen to him.

Assuming Rosengarten is out and this class is at least 4

Top Guys
Tosh Baker
Jimmy Christ
* Andrew Gentry - doesn't count until 2022
2 of Atteberry / Zinter / Skoronski

Again, if the Rosengarten rumors are true and Atteberry follows the CB's to OSU. Best case scenario right now is:

OT's = Baker / Christ / Gentry in '22
Swing = Zinter
OG/C = Skoronski

Looooooongshots
1) Paris Johnson Jr.
2) Turner Corcoran
3) Andrew Raym
4) Geirean Hatchett
5) Jake Wray

Next guys in?
Noah Nelson
Levi Rogers
Jonah Monheim
Jeff Persi

Guys ND could go from 0-100 with a phone call
Chris Mayo
Tate Johnson
Drake Metcalf

Possibilities?
Dylan Barrett (Wisconsin)
Eli Acker (Ole Miss)
Jacob Lugg (???)
Josh Fryar
Josh Priebe
Josh Braun

247: Three-star OL Jonah Monheim has numerous offers to choose from

"I'm going around, across the nation, and I know for sure we're visiting Cal, Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame, Alabama, Clemson, Auburn and Oklahoma. Then there could be some other visits too."

Love this guys tape. Came across him while looking at Jeff Persi's film at the end of last season. (They must be close as they retweet stuff back and forth) I immediately moved him into my Top 5 OT's even though he'd be a OG for ND.

Hard to believe the services are so behind on him. Rivals just moved him to 4* and hasn't ranked him yet. He's rated at a 5.8 so he'll be in their Top 250. I think his tape is Raym level. I'd have him Top 5 OG (probably higher) and Top 100.

He blew up during the Opening and Rivals camps. Only had a couple of offers at Christmas. Obviously has the books = has almost all of the Ivy offers.

I was fine with Zinter being that "swing" guy this class but I like Monheim better. Zinter should have committed, now I hope Monheim's the guy. He could be devastating at OG with the OT's that are coming in the '20 - '21 classes.

My dream haul this class is now:

Tosh Baker
Christ
Gentry ('22)
Skoronski
Monheim

Now that he's offered, expect the visit he had planned's date to be announced.

from the 247 freebie Monheim's mother went to USC and father UCLA.

Hope they're typical alumni who hate their football coach and the AD who hired him.

Thought we'd get lucky and have him go to OU but Biggins changed his mind to SC.

As posted elsewhere:

OV'd this past weekend with his family but signed today with SC.

I look back and I nailed a smokin' 5 man class once I outed Kevin Pyne for his horrible film on other prospects' highlights.

Tosh
Christ
Carmody
Skoronski
Monheim

With all of the beat writers there for the awards show this weekend, nothing leaked out about Monheim??? Do these guys know who players are? I'd have seen that kid a mile away.

Well, they did a good job. The network guys in AZ didn't know about it.

I don't have time to shake the trees everyday so this is what I get, radio silence.

Obviously the paid sites aren't doing what I'd pay for.
