extremely athletic kid and a solid high school receiver, but I don't see him playing WR in college. His ceiling is on the defensive side of the ball.

His HS coach said ND is recruiting him as an athlete. Actually talked to him about SS/OLB. His coach appreciates Kelly being upfront with Jonah. He does not like the fact Urban Liar keeps telling the kid he can play receiver which the HS coach does not think is true.
Seems to me everybody projects him on Defense yet the kid wants to play WR. I think I heard someone on BGI podcast say that was why he committed was MSU wanted him at LB but he feels he is a WR. Weird.
That's true and it was Josh Hemboldt that talked about that. Josh went on to make a point that this kid isn't tough enough to play defense, but has the ability to be a good WR. And recruitniks usually don't rag on a kid, but he literally said he doesn't have the toughness. If one person says that, I don't want him playing defense on my team and IDK that we have a need at WR so I really don't understand this one.
Thanks for the late Christmas afternoon updates to keep me busy
well if Ohio state wants him then we have to get him.
Dunno ....IF he wants to play LB maybe. IF then Irish do indeed get McKinley at WR, then I just don't see the WR position in the fold for Mr. Morris @ ND. And IF the Irish do land the likes of McKinley, Kelly, Jones, etc. would there even be room for him at the Irish inn even as a LB?
Kelly has told him he will ply Defense at ND. They project him as a hybrid OLB Safety type
Thought Its been said before that urban would be tough to beat of they offered?
We have so many DBs and have allegedly turned Hamlin down. I don't really for this recruit being part of our class, especially with the allegations (per Josh Hemboldt) that he doesn't like to hit people. I say keep him around and I like the very late visit in case we have a defection (unlikely), but pass.
Now watch him become an AA for the buckeyes.
Who is alleging ND turned Hamlin down?
