In general, recruiting is going to be fairly quiet for the remainder of the summer. Dead period, coaches on vacation, fall camp starts soon, etc.

Specifically on RB recruiting, I’m not sure the staff views a second RB as a need but more a want. So finding the right fit and a quality player might take some time. And go into the fall. Most OV’s will now be gameday OV’s, moving forward.

So I guess his views have changed a little since he named his top 10 and Purdue was nowhere to be found.

From the sounds of things, this one is more about schools not being interested in him for whatever reason. Spot filled up, small class, not impressed with latest film....

A few schools in his top 10 have moved on from him which is why you're seeing other schools pop up.

I like his most recent film. He only had one block in the highlight. My only concerns would be his speed and pass blocking, just because I didn't see a lot based on the offense his school runs.

seems plenty fast to me, maybe not a "burner" but above average. Am I wrong? I know there were some concerns about the comp level at some point.

This guy has been my #1 since we missed out on Chez and Steele.

In all seriousness I like just about every single one of them. There are just certain guys that I latch onto and hope they are in the class. This year it has been some of the running backs. King, Chez ect....

Maybe I am the RB curse LOL

Perhaps it is the staff who is the RB curse. They could have had Chaz or King if they wanted. Apparently they didn't.

With Dex turning on the jets and getting attention, perhaps we'll get some attention from RBs out there.

I think Book is helping our case with WRs next year.

Also all but Jones have three or more years of eligibility left after this season. Gonna be a crowded depth chart come 2020.
Will say, I thought we needed two RBs this year, too. But the way Armstrong has played eased my mind on that front. Guessing the staff felt the same as they pretty much stopped pursuing running backs after spring ball.
Hopefully we can land a true RB1 next year though. We need a stud more than we need another body back there. You see the difference a Dexter Williams makes.

i would have thought the same thing about RB recruits after last season, not sure why it didn't work out.
