He'd walk into the possible/probable #1 draft pick's starting spot at DE. All lights on him from Day 1.

He's canceled the announcement and said he's not 100% on where he wants to go and won't announce until he is certain of his decision. No announcement in the foreseeable future may take it all the way to NSD if he has to. Not sure what to make of this. Have to think it's a setback for Ohio State. Not one they can't overcome and still sign him, but definitely a setback.

still think he'll go to OSU in the end but this makes it tougher on them and it'll be a battle. Supposedly mom wants him close to home and favors the Buckeyes for that reason.

Also, don't think Urban wants to lose the #1 player in Ohio two years running. And more importantly the kid is a huge position of need for them in the 2019 class as Bosa will be off to the NFL after this year and Ohio State will be thin numbers wise at DE. And "DE Tyler Friday" will never play a snap of DE in his life. He's a DT or interior offensive linemen. Ohio State needs him badly- they have only 1 DE commit in this class and only took 2 last year- one of which was a major project with few offers- and Meyer will go all out and pull out every trick he has up his sleeve to get Harrison.

Really? I don't think the difference between the 2018 ND team and Bama or Clemson is DE's. That would be far down on my list of position groups that are problematic in those matchups. Our DL is a top unit nationally.

Totally agree with you that DE's aren't a problematic position at this point. I will say that I've seen this dude play twice (once last year and once this year) and he is a menace. I haven't been very optimistic that we could land him but I believe he will be a difference maker at the next level....please not SCUM!

More that those high 5 star guys become players the other team has to scheme around if they have their heads on straight. Adding a guy who plays as a frosh and stars as a soph is huge at any position.

Agreed. ND's front 7 is excellent.

This kid though is from another planet. Bama and Clemson don't have DE's like him. No one does. He's the closest thing to Clowney since. He ripped off a 4.47 at The Opening Finals this year in Dallas after he checked in at 6-ft-5 and change and 244 pounds. Humans that size aren't suppose to be able to run sub 4.5.

If he does wind up picking Michigan, will be the second year in a row that Urban has lost an in-state 5* and the #1 player in Ohio. 5* OT Jackson Carman picked Clemson last class.
