This guy is rocketing up my board. Great film. Rugby player ears extra points too. If Lucky won't give me Brandon Smith at WDE, I'll take the latest Latu. Teammate of current '19 Irish CB offer Isaiah Rutherford yet has no follows from staff or analysts. Feels like the defensive version of Jake Smith a few months ago.

A great Drop candidate. In 11 G's he had:

62 Tkl ... 17.0 TFL ... 12.0 Sks ... 2 Int ... 1 BP-TD ... 1 TD rec at TE.

Hopefully Polian makes a move here.

Rivals moved him up to a 4* ... #13 SDE ... #125 OA ... 5.9 Should be a Top 5 WDE / 5 Star when it's all said and done.

Stanford got involved in the last month and got 3 CB's. Added these offers in the past month:

ASU
Florida
Georgia
Nebraska
Oregon
Stanford
UCLA
USC
Vandy
Washington
Wazzu

For what ND needs at WDE and with ND recruiting Brandon Smith at LB instead of DE, Latu is as good of a fit in the country - on the field and in the class room - as they'll find.

Really hope ND makes his cut cause he's a really really good prospect at a position of need.

Assuming we land Nana, I don't think we should expect to bring in another WDE that is going to be this highly recruited. I think we'll be looking at getting a complimentary player like DiCosmo.

I have a hard time believing that if ND got verbals from Rodas Johnson & Nana Osafo-Mensah and brought their DL total to 5, that they wouldn't go after the heavily recruited kids. I mean I totally understand that if time is against them and they really like a lower rated developmental dude then they can sign him up. But If they have 5 committed and room for potentially two more DE's at maximum, then I could see...

- Zach Harrison - virtually no shot, but maybe going all in with Elston would help him visit a 5th time.
- Ty Robinson - a Crus fave, doesn't seem attached to Pac-12 schools, could make it to ND
- Marcus Hicks - I don't think the staff recruits this dude for over a year to just throw him to the curb cause the recruitment gets difficult

Also, guys like Hicks & Robinson are 6'5''+, long athletes that can play potentially either DE spot. I understand that they are both probable SDE, but it would be too tempting to pass on 6'5'' DL recruits when ND has had the darnedest time getting guys like that on campus. So overall, yes, I would think that ND probably gets a 3* or two to round out the DL group, but its more because I think they trail for most of the higher rated kids, not that they won't go after them with everything they have.

I didn’t say we won’t recruit them. Your post is stating the obvious. Of course we’ll recruit the best players, until we can’t anymore. However, is it realistic that we’ll get them? Hence using the word expectations. I doubt after we sign our #1 WDE target, if we’re able to get much traction with other top targets.

Guys like Hicks and Robinson are surefire SDE’s and Harrison probably is in this scheme as well. So very little relevancy to Latu or Nana.

Lol Zach Harrison could line up at WDE and be the best one ND has ever had

Even so, let’s say that’s true. What does that have to do with what I posted previously? Is he a realistic target that we should “expect” to be in this class?

Are you trying to say that there's no way to enjoy Bob Marley without smoking weed?

absolutely not. i do all the time.
but if you're a college athlete, you normally don't put a profile pic up that includes two depictions of someone smoking a hog leg.

The times are changing. CA, WA and everyone in between are legal now. Might as well get on anyone who says "cheers".

Not allowed by NCAA though. But the relevance here, is that it wouldn't play at ND....

FYI - I'm not a weed hater. I partook plenty in my HS and college days, and I'm for legalization. I think weed is far less dangerous than booze. So smoke em if you gottem Rez!

I'm a bit too stoned to understand what you mean, I'll come back later.
