As much as I enjoy watching the UW fans meltdown, I can empathize with them. Not condoning their behavior, but we've all seen it before. That said, I would definitely welcome Asa's commitment, but flipping or decommitting on signing day is pretty f'd up.

I haven’t followed this closely so maybe I’m missing some background but this seems completely fair.

With that tweet, it also sounds like if he commits again that will end it. I understand that it would not be binding, but the addition of the word commit is unusual in that he was already a commit and everyone was now presuming this would go on until the February signing window. Anyway. I also believe 17/18 year olds should not feel bad in taking the fully allotted time to make the most serious decision of their lives thus far.

That’s the first thing I thought. Another Demetrius Robinson? Lol

Yup...made this same comparison early on when the drama started. Except I don't believe he has a brother essentially making the decision for him. It's similar in that it could drag on for a long time and neither school may come out with the commit.

I am fine with a teenager going wherever he wants to go.

I don't mean this in a negative sense either. It's his future. No one else's.

Recruiting is weird.

Could he play a lot at LB next year

I think next year it will be LB by committee. Probably going to have a lot of subs coming in and out similar to the DL. I like Bauer Simon and Bilal if that is that they go with. Would like to see how Lamb progresses as well.

247 reported ASA said he will probably will not wait until NSD to announce. Sounds like ND coaches are in a vast majority that told him he is an LB, while UW is emphatic about him being a safety. Also sounded like Peterson might have pissed off ASA a little bit when ASA told him was was undecided.

That’s a bit light. Definite redshirt as a LB. Only PT I’d imagine year one would be ST.

Not for Lea/Elko. This is the higher range for their Rover position when it comes to HS prospects. At Wake it was 6-2 or 6-3 and 185ish ATH's who played both WR & DB. Both he and Hamilton fit into this category... as do a few other ND players like Cam Hart.

Ehh...we’ll see. Still highly doubt he cracks top 2 at Rover year 1.

???

He better not.

Exactly. So back to my main point of a RS or ST play only. He needs to add weight. Idc what Elko and Lea had or did before. That’s all I was sayin. I honestly thought he was around 210 already.

IMO he's got enough size to contribute on STs right away IF he is that good. If he's competing though at LB, there's something really wrong with the guys ahead of him. And that would be a very bad thing for our D...

Best thing is he plays 4 games to get some PT/experience, but RSs.

Of course he needs to add weight. Even if he was 210 he'd need to add weight. If any of the '19 LB's NEED to play, something is wrong. Those days better be gone.

Love that OSU is trouncing Washington rn. All the guys in HH talking shit about our game thinking that they’d take OSU and make it a game. Hope OSU kills them and then proceeds to fall off the cliff post Urban

I was just thinking the same thing. I didn't know how arrogant that fabase was until the Turner thing.
