We would get a lot more of these Cal recruits if we brought a game to Australia each year.

All I'm going to say about California recruiting is this... in the last five years, ND has had 24 players drafted. The only one from California was Troy Niklas. The fail rate for California recruits that verbal to ND is damn near 90%.

Recruiting the Pacific NW there isn't enough data. KeiVarae Russell worked out pretty well. Can't really think of a high quantity of recent players off the top of my head to say we should recruit it more or less or the same amount. In general, the concentration of talent up there is so sparse that I think you have to treat each prospect individually and determine if it's worth time investment.

Feels like we've been runner-up on about one quality player a year out of Seattle. Haven't actually landed one since KVR who, like you said, turned out fine (aside from his starring role in the Frozen Five fiasco, of course). We'll see how Braden Lenzy winds up, I guess.

Agree it's probably a case-by-case situation. Increasingly agree with your skepticism about SoCal, too. But it seems crazy to not even try out there.

Washington's my back-up team. ND should have offered:

Matteo Mele
Dom Hampton
Marquis Spiker
and
Austin Osborne

Best of luck to KG in Montlake. Pete K & Jimmy Lake's restock is complete. That secondary's gonna be nasty again.

The last 10 DB's from the 2016-2018 classes are all ND-RKG's. ND offered 4 of them.
