Parents will be joining him on visit. Washington leads but we have a shot especially with a home run visit.

Will be a tough pull given the distance. Let's hope with the parents tagging along they convince him the academics is a no brainer.

Her other baby is a girl. So I don't think she's a future CB. As to the shoes those are her Seahawk shoes as they also had a game last night. They are in SB now and she seems very excited.

Obviously I'd take him at corner, but I wouldn't be mad if this kid played WR for us either after watching his JR film.

4-star CB Kyler Gordon Recaps Notre Dame Visit

Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy cornerback Kyler Gordon opened his senior season on Thursday night, scoring a pair of touchdowns and using a monstrous hit on the opening kickoff to set the tone for the defending state champions.

After the game, the four-star flew on a red-eye to the Midwest, to start his official visit to Notre Dame.

"My official was really good," said Gordon. "That was my first time there. The campus was good. It is a big Notre Dame community, full of people there who want to learn."

Gordon said the atmosphere and tradition was something that stood out to him.

"The tradition they have, how much everyone and the fans there loves football and how much they care about it, that was a big thing for me," said Gordon.

Gordon checked out the athletic facilities and they also caught his eye.

"I thought the facilities were good, I liked them," said Gordon. "They had new locker rooms and new stuff at their stadium, the new jumbotron, it looked good."

Gordon also got to look into the academic side of things while on the trip.

"I met with academic advisors while I was there, which was good," said Gordon. "I want to major most likely something in business."

Gordon said a big part of his visit was spending time with the Notre Dame coaches.

"I talked with Coach (Brian) Polian and Coach (Todd) Lyght on the visit, but probably with Coach Polian more. Coach Polian and I have a really good relationship," said Gordon. "With Coach Lyght, I talked to him a little but told him I want to talk to him more on the phone. My first impression of him was pretty good. A lot of what he said really made sense at how good at football I could be and how to approach football both on and off the field. I also got to talk with Coach (Mike) Elko some. He's cool, I like him and got to talk with him more. He and Coach Polian had come out to see me in the spring."

Gordon also got to meet with head coach Brian Kelly.

"Coach Kelly is a good dude and I got to speak with him quite a bit," said Gordon. He's pretty straight forward and Notre Dame has a great tradition and culture that he likes there."

Gordon was hosted by Jafar Armstrong on his trip.

"I hung out mostly with my host, Jafar, but we hung out with some other players too," said Gordon.

Gordon said he plans to take more officials, though none are set yet.

"I know I want to take some more trips, and I know I for sure want to visit TCU and I will probably take an official to Washington," said Gordon. "I'm still thinking about other trips too. And my decision time frame is kind of in the air. I don't think I'll do it early though."

Gordon said he won't sign until February and doesn't plan to enroll early.

One of the most dynamic prospects in the Northwest, Gordon has been selected to play in the Polynesian Bowl.
