Great addition, I’ve seen him play in person a couple of times…….he will definitely help the WR room with experience, leadership and skill. Rock on Kaleb!!! 🤘🏼💀

Good thing that Notre Dame doesn't put names on the back of their jerseys, or this could really be confusing....

well this sucks for him and the football team
Stinks for him. From all accounts, he did absolutely nothing this spring to make anyone (staff and reporters) think he would contribute this year. I don’t think this is a big loss

If medical is the case, I hope he stays on as a student coach, that's a lot of experience to draw from.

Not buying what?

I can see your point you are trying to make here. He was mostly getting reps with the twos, and was being outperformed by some of the younger guys.

But, what, you think he just straight up quit and was sulking that some players two, three or four years younger were just outperforming him?

He could have transferred out and went someplace else.

I would guess that if he has some physical and mental health challenges that he's been trying to struggle with, this is partially why was so hard for him to beat out the youngins despite his experience. Probably was struggling at VT internally and thought a fresh start would do him good, but ultimately felt it was time to step away.

Can't blame him. Football is a hard game and he'll leave with two degrees from solid Universities.

Hey at least he got that free ND degree.

We should be an attractive destination for a disgruntled WR after spring practice wraps up.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t realize he was over with football until now.

I assume the University is still committed to him as a non-football scholarship. Finesse ND for that grad degree.

He was getting beaten in practice and was running with the 3’s. He’s a grad student and probably was over that kinda grind with no professional football future immediately on the horizon to motivate him to dig deeper. Good on him for getting a shot at a grad degree from ND, still should work out nicely for him.

I reckon he was getting beat out because of his health. I am hoping he can have time off and still come back and be better closer to the season.

Our young WR's need to step up and I think they will especially with the experience that Hartman brings.
