That shuttle time is crazy...

His tape is very good. He is a very good prospect. I would not be upset win an offer and commit from this young man.

At worst, worst case scenario, he is a special team ace at the college level.

At his size, he'd be fun to try at SS and Rover. If he can add 15-20 lbs and maintain that shuttle, he'd be a wrecking crew.

I imagine Bob Sanders.

I don't remember what Peppers numbers were, I just knew he was an athletic freak.

If Bob Sanders had been 6-1, he'd have been the greatest defender in history. Think about that, Christian Morgan is FIVE inches taller than Bob Sanders.

Speaking of Sanders, let's hope he ends up the second best defender from his high school, Bo Bauer goes there now.

All around, he's a better tester than Peppers. He's also 1-2 inches taller.

Morgan is the type of player that MSU and Iowa put in the NFL's first 2 rounds. When you pass on a guy who has admitted he commit if you offered him it tells me you don't trust your development skills as a staff... or at least that's the optics.

Rondale Moore, a regional offer player runs a 4.33 and scores a 133 at the same event (11 points behind Morgan's score) and gets Georgia and Bama offers immediately. They know it's get the talent then turn them into players.

Why are the so called experts grading this kid as a corner? And giving him poor grades because they are grading him as a corner?

Why are they not looking at him as a safety or an Sec OLB?

Shrug...what do I know

Out of the group of Morgan, Birdsong, Newsome, Hallett, etc. Out of that group, I really think we need to offer and go after at least one of them. I have my opinions on order but regardless of that, we need numbers, and can't miss this cycle on those numbers.

I think two of them (Hallet & Hampton) and stay after Griffith & Holland who they really like it sounds for the last place. Unless they know someone else is washing out in the DB class which wouldn't surprise me then the class goes to 6. I am disqualifying Newsome and Morgan because I think the staff told Newsome it wasn't happening or it's not happening until we strike out with those above you so he went NW. Same goes for Morgan and it got back to Wildtfong in some manner and he CB'd him to Baylor.

One thing to add... Watch out for 2 star Cagan Campbell. He's state championship track fast and a playmaker. He's raw, has poor form but whatever, he's really fast.
