Bo Bauer wears a Cubs hat and instantly becomes the favorite 2018 recruit for half of ND fans.

Another '18 recruit playing for a State Championship. Sounds like he had a strong game.

Normally, 247 is decently accurate with their rankings (as close as these mass sites can be I suppose), but Bauer's 421st overall ranking is just disgusting. Just, watch the damn film. He's no All-American in the making, but christ, I'm pretty sure there aren't 420 players in this class better.

100 miles away from the state championship game in Hershey. Seems like a strange place to practice on the day before the game? I call shenanigans.

Eh maybe. Erie to Hershey is also a 5 hour drive. So to stop in State College over night and practice isn't the worst thing in the world.

Neither is driving straight through to Hershey and driving 10 minutes to Bishop McDevitt for practice.

I get it. They could practice at Milton Hershey too. I'm just saying, they maybe wanted to not travel the whole 5 hours in one day. Stop off in State College, practice, grab food, and relax. The team has been to the title before, so I'm sure they know how to plan it out.

I agree that it is definitely smart on PSU's end and could be shenanigans... but still.

I hear you. It is right on the way and I'm sure 95% of the players were hyped to get on that field. Plus Fred Scruggs is committed to PSU.

Still... I know Franklin was blowing kisses at Bauer.

Lemming named Bauer the #8 overall LB in the country a spot ahead of Dax Hollifield. He was the #4 ILB behind Teradja Mitchell, IE Geoteote and PooPoo. Lemming had Bauer as the #90 overall recruit in '18.

PooPoo was #1 overall.

It's a shame an Irish Envy player isn't going to ND.

It is great to see a player get recognition when actually performing well.

I get a little frustrated over the hype machine on certain athletes, how get rave reviews despite less then stellar results.

Jurkovec and Bauer both come to mind.

Jurkovec absolutely destroyed the WIAP this year, yet there are 65 players rated better them him...and none of them came close to achieving what he did. Bauer is finally get recognition for all his great work...good to see
