Andrew Ellis from 11W CB'd him to ND a few weeks back. Gotta be some fire with that smoke no? Has all the usual follows too.

I've read a lot of snippets on him and it's obvious coaches like him more than the analysts at the moment.

Watch the first play and maybe that's what the smoke is about. Probably closer to 6-1, 210lbs. Film is much like Cam McGrone's.

Something to keep an eye on.

Would love to have Brian as one of our 85. Love the urgency and would give him a chance at Rb.

Interesting you brought up RB because I forgot to address that. He rushed for 650 or so yards on a team that had a 2100 yd, 250 lb back. 250 and 220 coming at you all night had to suck for the opposition. Maybe this is their second chance at AJ Dillon?

Is he being recruited as a LB, or a RB??? Or get him on campus, then find a home for him??

"Brian, there was no doubt in our mind when we sat as a staff. We enjoyed your film. You met all of the prerequisites having great character and being a great football player. We’d love to offer you a scholarship!”

Brian Asamoah quoting Mike Elston on calling him with his ND offer.

Now, that's the way to offer a recruit!

My respect for Elston is growing.

I think he's being recruited as a Rover.

Just wondering guys if this is an educated guess (as that's my feeling) or was there a source that makes that claim?

It's ok. Seems Bama has a more effective pitch, very similar but a little different. Goes like this...

"Brian, there was no doubt in our mind when we sat as a staff. We enjoyed your film. You met all of the prerequisites having great character and being a great football player. We’d love to offer you a Dodge Charger!

Don't get too excited there Brah! He's running four corners praying for an OSU offer.

Who has to get with their support system to bump their list to seven?

From a Bill Greene@Scout freebie:

Will Irish Offer Affect 3-Star LB Brian Asamoah's Plans? - Football Recruiting - Scout
Two weeks ago, three-star linebacker Brian Asamoah announced he would be making his college choice on April 21, and he had cut his list of schools to a working number of six.

Schools that remain in contention for the Columbus (OH) DeSales product are Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, UCLA and West Virginia.

Last week, Asamoah learned he had received an offer from Notre Dame, a team he had previously shown interest in. Does the Irish offer affect his plans going forward?

"This offer really means a lot to me," Asamoah admitted. "I will have to get with my support system to discuss whether my top-six needs to be reworked."

"As of right now, April 21 remains my date to make my commitment," he added.

Elko was in to see him yesterday per 247 Timeline.

Didn't know they were still messing with Plan C.

The Ohio State guys are split on their CB's between Cincy and PSU. As a former Redskin it pains me to type this... Go Bearcats!
