Bro what?Al Washington seems to be the chink in the armor. I do not see the talent being developed and he is losing high end talent. If things do not turn around in the next years development and recruiting ND has to start looking some place else. Who do we go and get though?

Per ISD, NIL was the deciding factor in this one.
Not acceptable.
It really makes zero sense, our approach. Especially for grad transfers. There is zero reason we can’t structure the NIL deal these guys get to be front heavy the day they step on campus and then reduced after. It should be much easier with transfers than high schoolers who might not be on campus for another 6 months. Enough of the holier than thou nonsense.
NIL or no NIL doesnt really have anything to do with school profitsNotre Dame has a stick up it's ass. They will lose out on anything money related to paying players. They will happily take all the profit
What does NIL have to do with. A "moral" code for ND. Mission on and onward to possible above average seasons. Go Irish! Merry Christmas and Happy New YearNIL or no NIL doesnt really have anything to do with school profits
One thing we know is that NDs NIL isn't competitive and it won't be competitive as evidenced by 3 Five Stars and Fiske going elsewhere. This is a problem and it isn't going away. If we don't land Hartman and lost out on Card to Purdue. Let me know why I should get excited by the piss poor f.u.n.dDamn, y’all some whiney ass people. NIL this and NIL that. Notre Dame contends with everyone else in that regard to actual contributors. What happens when we pay someone a buttload upfront and they don’t deliver? Will you change your stance and say “ThEy ShOuLdNt PaY OuT unTiL ThE PlAYeR sUCcEeDs?” What a joke.y’all probably believe in participation trophies.
This - I thought Brady was going to make all this N.I.L. shit right with ND???? Is Jack and the Pope interfering????One thing we know is that NDs NIL isn't competitive and it won't be competitive as evidenced by 3 Five Stars and Fiske going elsewhere. I'm as frustrated as anyone with ND being taken out back behind the shed on a few recruits this year, but you're confusing NIL with pay for play. One thing we know is that NDs NIL isn't competitive and it won't be competitive as evidenced by 3 Five Stars and Fiske going elsewhere. Nothing Notre Dame is doing right now in recruiting or the portal is structured for success as we get deeper into NIL and acquisition fees. It’s only going to get worse for the program. It really makes zero sense, our approach. Especially for grad transfers.
That's the thing - it's not. A lot of folks online (including many here) and the media are lazily referring to it as one and the same. But there is NIL and then there is "NIL" (AKA "acquisition fees"). ND isn't playing that game, but the NIL game as it's intended, ND actually does pretty well. Other than, you know, not really advertising its success for some weird reason. It's like their embarrassed by it almost.
I'm not confusing it. It's the game that's being played in College Football. Grad transfers are pay for play no matter how you cut itI'm as frustrated as anyone with ND being taken out back behind the shed on a few recruits this year, but you're confusing NIL with pay for play.

You are confusing it though. You're saying NIL (not "NIL") and F.U.N.D. is poor, but it's actually not poor. ND just refuses to pay acquisition fees. Huge difference.I'm not confusing it. It's the game that's being played in College Football. Grad transfers are pay for play no matter how you cut it
We don’t know that we necessarily “lost out” here. I guarantee you that Purdue isn’t paying anything for NIL outside of free tickets on the next space shuttle launch. One thing we know is that NDs NIL isn't competitive and it won't be competitive as evidenced by 3 Five Stars and Fiske going elsewhere. Thats what you see. I see that as ND won't sign a 5 star top 10.You are confusing it though. You're saying NIL (not "NIL") and F.U.N.D. is poor, but it's actually not poor. ND just refuses to pay acquisition fees. Huge difference.

I agree it likely won't happen anytime soon. We just disagree on NIL vs. "NIL".Thats what you see. I see that as ND won't sign a 5 star top 10.
It's doing a poor job connecting with the players.
And it f.u.n.d lower case until it can make a difference because it hasn't

Let's be honest tho - Freeman is only saying that because he has no choice. You think if some ND-approved collective backed the BRINKS truck up to the Gug and said, "go get us a top-5 class" Freeman would decline? You think he wouldn't have fought for Keeley or Mpemba or even Fiske? Let's be real. I'm sure Freeman's saying much different things when cameras aren't rolling.See I agree with Freeman on this front. If you are looking for instant gratification, then maybe Notre Dame isn’t for you anyway.
