He is saying it was the coach.Yeah it’s been reported it’s NIL. He was absolutely a take for ND.

He’s definitely not going to tell people he went to the highest bidder. He is saying it was the coach.
Yep. Florida State has good coaches and is on the rise. Same as Notre Dame. But one's willing to pay him upfront and the other isn't.He’s definitely not going to tell people he went to the highest bidder.
bUt ItS nOt aN NiL IsSuE!! ItS p4P!!Watchout the ND NIL and pay for play naysayers will say that he wasn't.
Just like when we loose someone because our f.u.n.d.s are low and ND can't come up with clever ways of getting players on board, they do the blame the players and call them bag chasers. Notre Dame is hoarding their funds and profits that the football program make and refuse to compete.
f.u.n.d.s are low
And competitive pay for elite recruits and transfers are not competitive
ND Alumni and fans are just fine with it. Blame everything but reality.
Here's the reality, this team won't be competitive and the NCAA isn't going to get reigned in, so that won't save ND Football either. Don't rip on kids for taking large sums of money. Business moves. Just like ND pinches it's pennies with ND Football profits.
Sick of the admin, NIL BOT apologists
It is. The coach that got him the most moneyHe is saying it was the coach.
How is this Washington’s fault? We were the only team who got a sack on 30% of our pass rushes last year only power 5 team to do that. One more reason to question the hire of Al Washington. Starting to think the OSU fans were on to something here.
Washington apparently didn’t try hard enough to entice him with an envelope full of cash or something like that…How is this Washington’s fault? We were the only team who got a sack on 30% of our pass rushes last year only power 5 team to do that.
On field: D line was the most disappointing group of the year and had a ton of talent. How is this Washington’s fault? We were the only team who got a sack on 30% of our pass rushes last year only power 5 team to do that.
We were 18th in the nation in team sacks last yearOn field: D line was the most disappointing group of the year and had a ton of talent.
Off field: who is his biggest recruiting win so far? Boubacar? Vernon was committed before Washington got here, Mukam is a project as is Houston.
Contrast that with what Stuckey has done so far at WR both on field and off. I'm not saying I want Washington fired, but he needs to have a really strong 2023 imo.
You're familiar with our linebackers and our entire passing offense? On field: D line was the most disappointing group of the year and had a ton of talent.

I think it's time to move on from the kid in Chicago based on the latest rumblings. Seems like he will be another NIL causality. You're familiar with our linebackers and our entire passing offense?
We certainly had a good pass rush. Run defense a little more hit-or-miss. Either way he inherited a bunch of veterans. This year will tell us more as the next wave of players develops. Recruiting kind of same. I wouldn't necessarily blame Washington for Keeley flipping, for instance. But it'd be nice to land Davis-Swain or the kid Scott from Chicago.
None of this is at all why Fiske went to FSU.

Is this a rhetorical question? He would go elsewhere because it's $1 million dollars. Why would he go elsewhere for a million or so when he could come here and have peace of mind at a school that does NIL the way it was intended?
Fairly certain he was being facetiousIs this a rhetorical question? He would go elsewhere because it's $1 million dollars.
And for a kid who spent years at Western Michigan, it’s not a terrible idea to spend a year in Florida.FSU has turned a DL transfer into a 1st round pick in back to back years. It’s almost blind ND homerism/arrogance to act like it has to be 100% NIL. NIL puts battles like these over the top for the winners. It was not the only reason he’s going there.
Similar to Keeley in that respect, y’all really gonna ride with oh he’d be at ND if it wasn’t for NIL when he ended up at ALABAMA. Alabama! NIL is how you make a coin flip go in your favor, but the school opposite ND has plenty of other pros to their pitch.
Deciding factor =\= Only or sole or even main factor
…A kid who spent 18 years in Michigan freaking City prior to that lol.And for a kid who spent years at Western Michigan, it’s not a terrible idea to spend a year in Florida.
Man taking a year long vacation.…A kid who spent 18 years in Michigan freaking City prior to that lol.
That's one barometer and has more to do with the talent than the coaching. Did you forget how OSU marched the length of the field, mostly running, in the 4th quarter for the TD drive? We were 18th in the nation in team sacks last year
Pretty much my point. He needs some strong wins in recruiting and needs to develop young talent and a pass rush on the D line. You're familiar with our linebackers and our entire passing offense?

Washington has a lot of work to do in 2023 because he's losing high end talent
All the high end talent we lost recruiting so far has been to NIL that has nothing to do with WashingtonThat's one barometer and has more to do with the talent than the coaching. Did you forget how OSU marched the length of the field, mostly running, in the 4th quarter for the TD drive?

I was referring to the talent ND is losing on the dline after this season, but he needs to step his game up recruiting too. NIL stuff isn't slowing down Stuckey, Deland or Hiestand. All the high end talent we lost recruiting so far has been to NIL that has nothing to do with Washington
