Three kids who ND could get, but let's go after all the three stars and throw all of our chips into the Thomas Booker basket. Great plan, hope it works.

Some redemption for the staff.

Opening Chicago scores:

6-5.5, 241 lbs

5.16 / 40

4.34 / Shuttle

38.5 PB

29.1 Vert

Score = 89.34

Great size... for an SDE, not a WDE. Lucky pointed this out in one of the threads. This guy's gonna be huge. Guarantee Dad/Uncles/maybe Mom wrestle bears. Good thing he's gonna be an SDE cuz that 5.16 might end up getting him moved to RT. The 4.34 is excellent after you read a 5.16/40 and more important for a DE. PB is a low, should be at least 42/43. The 29" vert is a stereotype enforcer. I didn't know humans had sub 30" verts anymore?

Quit calling him a WDE and maybe he's a late take if others don't shake out or if (when) more spots open up from transfers / injuries.

Bolded is all I read. Why would we not want that?

Wolly, I'm as big of a proponent of signing the NDophiles and the low hangers as anyone. I was expecting a 4.8 something 40 and I think his performance takes some heat of the staff. That's fair to say, no? I mean he just ran a 40 in the same time 339lb Emil Ekiyor did who word is, is too unatheletic for HH.

After seeing what pre-injury Joe Schmidt was able to do with Ivy League talent because he was 110% invested in ND who can argue that playing for your dream school gives you that something extra?

That being said... if ND really leads for Booker at SDE then they may have to be careful. I don't know his mindset but many thought he was a Stanford lean? Maybe he's one of those guys who wants to be the only guy at his position? I don't know.

From the outside looking in, I'd take him in a instant. So what if he's a bigger Trumbetti? Trumbetti might have been a better SDE from the get go if he was 2.5" taller? Or he might have had a 10 year career as a 6-6, 275 blocking TE after getting switched to the other side of the ball?

Starting DE at Iowa. Listed at 6-5/266.

Hasn’t produced up to now. Redshirted, ST as Soph then only played 4 games in ‘20. But he’s another covid Soph from 2018 so he has 3 seasons left to prove us right.
