Awesome news. I'm not one to throw rankings away but Crim is far better than his rankings. He's a definite want for me.

His floor is special teams ace and his ceiling is impact player. Hope he pulls the trigger soon.

I disagree. The Rivals podcast made it sound like ND is willing to take 6 DBs this year: 3 CBs and 3 safeties.

Irvin and Gordon both want to play CB. Some might see Irvin as a safety, but he doesn't. He's like a faster Vaughn.

So if we got those guys, we would have one spot left open for Bracey or one of the two committed CBs that are visisting this weekend (Taylor and Boykin).

In fact, if the Tennessee kid flipped, he could always get moved back to WR if one of the others wanted to commit.

Agree. They'll take Crim and Maola at safety. This has nothing to do with Irvin or Gordon. Bracy still has some academic hurdles to clear before ND could take him.

Simply put, Mike Elko loves Crim. His aggressive, downhill nature would add an important element to the backend of the Irish defense. Notre Dame is the clear leader and could receive a commitment in the near future.
