IMO when everyone was like we can live without Osirs and while he's good I don't think he will be a difference maker for ND. Landing him while he was a legit prospect would have put us as a near lock to land Amon Ra.
That may be true, but Stanford was Osiris' dream; there's not much more you can do with that. Isn't he a Comp Sci major too? If so, he chose wisely.
Psychology says OSB didn't follow ESB so ASB won't follow either and he wins the commitment game by going hometown.
...and he isn't anywhere near as fast as Kirk. ASB ran a 4.67 40. Kirk does that on crutches.
He's gonna be a slower version of Tate and there's nothing wrong with that.
Amon-Ra is still my #1 get for this class. Osiris faded out w/ ND once Stanford came in the picture. I know there is only so much you can do to recruit a guy, but just b/c Amon-Ra may not be 100% ND at the moment I hope they are not letting his recruitment go.
Per USC boards, they are only taking 2 WR's and they like Jalen Hall and Cota better. So, that could work in our favor here, for either Cota or Amon Ra.
Does that really change anything for ASB and ND? As well as Cota's visit seems to have gone, still feels like it's Oregon vs the field. I don't see SC giving ND any help with ASB. In fact, I think ND is going to come up bridesmaids on all the westcoast guys except Crocker.
It certainly doesn't hurt. How could eliminating the leader be a bad thing, in any scenario. With that said, I would still agree that there is a lot of work to be done, and it obviously hasn't even happened yet.
More than anything it's a note of interest to follow throughout his recruitment. FWIW, this is what happened with ESB, and one of the reasons he ended up at ND. Which, I am very thankful for, and still in disbelief that so many people doubted him coming out of HS.
Was he injured his last year or was it Travis Waller throwing to him? I thought he was dropped in rankings and lost hype due to lower production.
Both. He also apparently deferred to Osiris.
Thanks for the update

Not gonna make it, he tried too
Being that I'm not a Rivals member, I assume he's not making Irish Invasion? And when you mean he tried, is that laced in sarcasm?
No on the II
Not being sarcastic he honestly looked into doing it. It just wasn't gonna work out for him. I remember I think it was ISD saying he doesn't like taking visits and if he's seen a place once that's enough for him. This will come down to official visits and if ND is smart they will push that visit as far back as it can be. I know they like getting dudes up for game days but sometimes you get a kid up in September and he's not committing to signing day he forgets all about ND. It's shown in the past the farther back ND can push the visit it's helped. Look at the banquet and what Stanford does. I know Stanford games are damn boring but they still get top flight kids and visits late as possible same with USC. They usually their top guys visit in January. Get them here in the summer and for some guys especially signing day commits have them come as late as possible
And guys I know ND is magicial on game day, I'm not saying do this with every recruit I'm saying for some of them. Get them up during the banquet with all the commits and send the dogs at them. Also gives the staff plenty of 1 on 1 time and let's them focus on recruiting instead of game day weekends when there is 2345 things going on.
Gross exaggeration. There are only 2344 things going on, during game day.
