low-end FBS caliber guys like Sergio Perkovic or Nick Ossello that stick with lacrosse... or before them, guys like Yeatman that were allowed to play both. But when guys like Sam Hubbard or Jack Coan start to "blow up" it's very reasonable for them to opt for football. On top of that, you have guys like Dalton MacAfee (son of the legendary Ken MacAfee) who was a top 5 lacrosse recruit committed to Notre Dame that decided at the last minute to stay home and play hockey for BU. He had a good freshman year and then left the team... I have no idea where he is now. Working towards the NHL? It's hard for guys with options to decide which one (or both) they want to pursue in college and beyond. Few (like the Shark and Pat) get it right.
